I REALLY need to talk to my SISTER more often!!!!

My sister and I are always really busy with our own lives and don't talk but every now and then...about once a month(maybe)...she has 4 little kids and lives in Kingston, ny I have 4 kids and live outside Philly, PA......

WELL, I went to DC this weekend with my family to visit the museums and monuments.....I got back and talked to my Dad....who tells me my sis was visiting DC this weekend...I hung up with Dad and called my sis....turns out she was in Great Falls, VA while I was staying in Tysons Corner, VA about 6 miles apart....she spent sat visiting museums...approx. 11:30 natural history...where was my family Natural history....2:00pm Air and Space....where was my family Air and Space....we never saw each other......

Though I kept having a feeling I aws going to run into someone I knew...(I grew up in the DC area)....didn't realize it could have been my sister who was probably on the other side of the room at the Air & Space ...How to Fly exhibit.....

Man....have we got to talk more often even with our busy schedules.....

I'm sorry you didn't run into each other. That would have been so weird! I think we all can get like that. Life just keeps us so busy, and if you have family out of town, like I do also, you tend to forget to call as often as you should.

I pretty much grew up outside of Washington DC also - in Springfield, VA.

So how many times have you been to see the 4th of July Fireworks on the Mall? My parents and I have made trips back to see the fireworks and my DW and I went there to visit some really old friends on 12/31/1999.

Haven't been back to do the fireworks at the Mall.....my dh's town has a long standing 4th tradition of parade, picnic, fireworks for the day so we've always stayed here....besides after how hot it was this weekend he says it will be fall or spring ONLY when we go back...

I grew up in Temple Hills, MD but mom moved to Great Falls, VA when I was in college...

No Buz....she doesn't DIS....thinks my Disney stuff is crazy....hum...maybe that's why I don't call her that often...

It was Zurgswife, who under the 100+ degree sun next to the Washington monument broght up the subject of 1) next time and 2) cooler.

You Honor the defendant is willing to stipulate that he 1) agreed to returen and 2) cooler would be better, saying "like" spring or fall, this agreement in no way should be construed as an ONLY constraint. (A hotel in walking distance would also be cool but I did like the diner we ate breakfast at)

Further the Defendant did suggest contacting your family, particularly said father (aka Pop Pop) for said return trip.

That's why I'm glad that my whole family is Disney nuts!!!And that my sister is also on the DIS. We do a lot of e-mails, but I really don't call any of my sisters on the phone.
