Myself, my best friend and our significant others are going to Disneyland in February, we have pretty much decided that we are going to stay at the Candy Cane Inn. I was recently looking at the pictures on a previous thread and the beds look a little small, we were thinking that we could just share one room, is this completely unreasonable??? I have never been to Disneyland before so please any help that anyone could give me would be SO helpful.

Thank you very much!

According to their website, their rooms have 2 queen beds. Do you 2 normally fit into a queen? If so, you should be good to go.

I have never stayed at CCI, but as long as there are 2 beds, and they are bigger than twin size, you should be fine. I am not going to lie, a long time ago (2002) we went for about 4 nights (me, DH, DS, my sister, and my youngest SIL), and at last minute, my other SIL, her DH, and their DD decided they wanted to room with us for 1 night. It was a mess, we had 2 queen beds, but there were 8 of us in there. Needless to say, both of the DHs slept on the floor that night!!

They have two types of rooms there. The regular room would be a little tight for four adults, but the superior, larger room should be fine. That is if you are all comfortable enough to share one bathroom and all sleep in the same room:) . The toilet area is separate from the sink area, so more than one person can utilize the bathroom facilities at one time. I personally have stayed at many, many motels/hotels in the DL area and for the $$, the CCI simply cannot be beat. The grounds are beautiful, parking is free and right outside your room, the staff is the friendliest of anywhere we've been and the free breakfast and shuttle cannot be beat. Oh, and no hidden fees, like resort fees. Do you have AAA? You get even a better rate that way:thumbsup2 . Sorry to ramble, but you really will enjoy your stay there.

Why don't you stay at HoJo with the Entertainment rate and get separate rooms? It's closer, and cheaper with the Ent rate, and also has free parking. You could each get a standard room for $59 a night. The dates are not yet posted, but at that low season time of year, I would expect that there will be a lot available. January has plenty of dates, I see. http://www.hojoanaheim.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14

Personally I find it hard enough to share a room with my own kids, let alone another couple. There's always somebody who snores, talks in their sleep, or rustles around so much you can't rest, yourself.

Just my 2 cents. :)

I really appreciate the rambling! Thanks so much

As for the entertainment book, I live in Canada and am unfamiliar with how that would work, If I buy an entertainment book from here can my "card" work down there?? If anyone knows I would really appreicate it!

Thanks again! I really appreciate all the help!~

I guess everything depends on how much you want to spend for a Hotel room and what you look for in a room where you are spending time with a couple.

I usually stay at the Marriott Residence Inn. It's all Suites there where rooms can cost between $175 per night on up. It maybe considered pricey compared to other places, but it has ample room for a party of 5+ along with a full Fridge / Kitchen and Free Hot Breakfast. It's about 2-3 blocks away from the DisneyLand Main entrance ( probably about a 10-15 minute walk once you get to the main street ) if you don't mind walking.

But if you are simply looking for a room to sleep in that isn't too pricey...then you can stay at the Marriott Fairfield Inn which is your standard Hotel room or any other value inn close by.

i think youd like hojos better but idk how it works for canada you can get a book for any place even the anihime one. just cant use the coupons where you are. but canada may be on the list idk

You can use the Entertainment Card from ANY area book. We live in Canada also, bought our local Vancouver book and we will use our card for the Ent Rate at the HoJo. Sooooooo worth the price of the book - which we buy every year anyway with the kids school fundraising. You just have to call the HoJo Anaheim directly and do not book through the toll free number. Check out their website www.hojoanaheim.com and go to the discussion board tab to check it all out. HTH :)

Thanks so much! I will have to consult with the others going on the trip but you have provided me with a lot of good information!! I really appreciate it!
