To start off with, this morning at the grocery store an elderly woman standing next to me in line dropped a bottle of Clorox bleach on the floor at my feet. The cap somehow came off and the bleach splashed all over me and completely ruined my favorite shorts, as well as my new sandals.
The poor woman was so upset she started crying and telling me how sorry she was. I couldn't even be mad at her. I ended up consoling her
If that wasn't bad enough, when I got to the parking lot I saw that someone had scratched my new car with a shopping cart. Then, I had to dump my groceries out of all the bags so I could use them to sit on so the bleach wouldn't get on the seat of my car. (It was either that or drive home in my underwear--not an option!)
I went home and changed so that I could take my car in to the dealership to have the latch on the glove compartment fixed. When I first brought it in, they told me that they had to order the part. It took 5 days for the part to come in, and another 5 days before I could get an appointment. I dropped it off today, and sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes before they came and told me that someone had ordered the wrong part. So I will be driving around for another week or two with the glove compartment hanging wide open. I tried duct-taping it closed but dear old husband used a little too much ArmorAll and the tape slides right off. If that's not bad enough, there was a woman in the waiting room with me complaining of the strong smell of bleach. (I did wash!)
Then, I got home just in time to find that while I was gone my 14 year old had somehow broken my Waterford vase that had been a wedding gift from DH's grandmother.
CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!!!!!! Is there any way I can start this day over???
