We have a lot of landscaping and perennials but with DS17 graduating and having a grad party here in June I have decided to add a lot of annuals to add more color. I have come to realize, I really hate gardening. :lmao: I usually do a few hanging baskets each year and maybe a pot or two for the deck. I plant a couple tomato plants too but that is about it. I have added about 40 impatiens, 40 of some other kind of flowers, 20 New Gunniea Impatiens, made 5 hanging baskets, planted about 40 moss roses, added 6 perennials to existing landscaping and some more stuff I am sure I am forgetting. Does someone want to do this for me in 3 years when the twins graduate :lmao:

I don't mind it but I find it a LONG process when I actually do it. First I have to get to the place and buy the stuff and then I usually have something else come up and then I'm rushing to do it before the weekend ends. Then since I'm so out of shape, I'll be really sore for the next few days.

I am right there with you! I've been putting it off but I have to get to it this weekend. I've got a graduation and good-bye party in June and it needs to get done but ugh.

I love gardening! If I could find someone to do my indoor projects and housework in trade I would happily spend hours in the garden. I do have a project I am dreading though. We are having our old garage torn down and a new one rebuilt, but not in the same location. That means I have to move my entire shade garden so it doesn't get trashed during the demolition, then move it again once the new garage is built. The planting is the least of it. I also have to move two flagstone patios, 20' of brick pathway, and 20' of wooden privacy fence.

You'll have plenty of flowers in 3 years as moss roses reseed like crazy!

Ditto, but it's so worth it! :goodvibes

Really? I am in MN, zone 4 I think, will they come back here? I thought these were annuals. Cool, if they are perennials it will save me a TON of time in the future :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Or you could do what I just did and have the open house at a park! It was enough work getting the food and decorations and pictures and invitations ready. There was no way I wanted to have to worry about my yard and garage and house being ready too.

That's why I am not having a graduation party...much better to take the family out to dinner.
