I really can't take it anymore!!!!!!!!

Yup, I'm in. I'm sick of it too. We've got 400 points. Take them all, please!

I posted this somewhere else, and I'm so disgusted it bears repeating. We were just down at WDW, and came home Sunday. When we left, it was 72. When we got to Burlington, VT, it was 4 degrees with the wind chill, and snowing. When we got up the next morning, it was -38.

Cheer up mamarobin, your one day of summer will be there soon. :)
Dee's daughter lives about an hour north of Burlington (1 mile from the Canada border, if you drive, 400' feet if you walk) and she says it is nasty there.
I have NO use for this stuff. I hate it and I want warm!!!!

Hmmmm....you know...this might be affordable if you go to Hilton Head instead...

Stay in Boston in December...Christmas looks best with a chill in the air (I just looooooved all that snow on christmas!!! Nothing like going on the Interstate in snow!).

January zip on down to Hilton Head...416 for January, 640 for Feb and March...voila! Just 1,696 points to escape the worst of winter. If you need a dose of WDW you could start out in OKW in January for just another 240 points for the month! I'm sure there are a few more points here and there that I missed but still this is less than half of the original calculation.

Heck I'm hoping for sub zero temps and tons more snow right up until July. I've been working on DH for years now to move south and I've almost got him this year. I think a few more months and this will work.

Ok, you can have my points too, but I won't be able to contribute till 2004, cause we're all borrowed out

When we get really depressed about all this we crank up the heat, put on short sleeves and play the cd we got at CBR of their Carribean music. Ok, that only works for a minute.

So much for our droughts for the last 2 years, anyone else getting spring flood warnings?

Annie, I don't know where you are in Ma., but I'm from Whitman and I'm right there with you, enough already with this snow!!! And I didn't even have to drive in it. We became DVC members last Sept. at the BCV's...come join us!!! Just do it, just like the ad says. :D

AnnieT - I laughed when I read your post - today I flew for over 3 hours out of Baltimore going to Manchester, New Hampshire, and guess what! I ended back in Baltimore...it was snowing too hard to land at Manchester.
I immediately wondered who would figure up the points needed to help preserve your (our) sanity. I had to laugh again. You can't have my points though. What is keeping me (somewhat) sane are two planned trips to WDW - on e in May and one next December!

You can actually buy 2000 points from each resort with a maximum of 5000 total. I know this because I have actually met a person who has 2000 at OKW, 1000 at HH, and 1000 at BWV. I do know that he spends a lot of time on ebay renting them out too. How could you ever use that many points if you have a job outside of central Florida? I also met a CM whose Mom has 2000 at OKW and 1000 at HH. Must be nice to have rich relatives!:)

to become a DVC sales guide and work as the rep on the Magic or Wonder from November to April. Hey, Someone has to do it. Might as well be me!!

Okay I want in. I have 242 points I can borrow from next year (I am using the others this summer). How about spliting the time at Vero. Some of us could sleep on the hammocks outside.

An alternative to the lobbys would be to stay at that resort that never opened. (Centery resort???).

My dream is to live in a tin can, and annoy people at the Whispering Canyon Cafe.

My family tells me I'd be good at it:smooth:

2000 points - just imagine!!!!

... I shouldn't say "new", cause I've had it for years but I never really noticed it till now. I now wake up every time my boiler fires up. It probably has something to do with the cost of fuel oil being around $2.00 a gallon. My 401k will recover with time, but fumes out the chimney is money that is gone forever. I figure this winter cost me a small add-on at VWL.

You guys do realize that you are going to be over the occupancy limits. :p

the Treehouses are still up - you know the ones next to OKW - I think they are staying~

Heck, I'll throw in this years and borrow next year's to get out of here!!!!!!!
I am so sick of this snow and cold weather, I could just cry!
My goal in life-2000 pts. to stay where it's warm all winter long. LOL

With all this snow in MA, we haven't had ONE snow day at my school this year. We've only got 65 points left for next year (big family reunion last month) but you can have them! 2 adults, 2 kids, and I make a mean margarita!

Count me in for 150, but it can only be a DVC resort as I haven't closed yet.;) If we get enough, maybe we can do a grand villa!:Pinkbounc

The TREEHOUSES!!!!!

What a good idea!! They are indeed still there, and doing their stately treehouse thing.

We stayed in one of those when I was quite a bit younger. My, what fun.

. . .and I'm thinking, if we keep enough of us at the parks, and sleep in shifts, no-one should notice we're over occupancy!!!:smooth:

Maybe if we pooled our points together we could afford to do it. I don't mind sleeping on the sleep sofa! I've got 420 points. How about you?
