I read somewhere (here I think) about the disneyland visa

I think what I heard was that you could use your visa for lots of stuff before your trip and then use points? for your meals and such. Is that correct?

Yes, the puchases you make with your Disney Visa earn points. Those points acrue and you can have them transferred to a Disney Rewards card. Here's the link to the website. It has all the official info.

The points you transfer to your Disney Rewards card can be used at any of the Disney parks, Disneyshopping.com and any Disney Store.

You can use the Visa like any credit card. We just did a major remodel on our house and I used the Disney Visa for all our major purchases. The rewards card ended up paying for 6 of us to do the Discover the Magic Tour in DL.
