I wanted to let you guys know I had one of the best DME drivers on my way home from my trip Sunday(9/9). His name is Jordan and he was fantastic.

I watch Jordan get off of the bus and I swear it's almost like he was an Elvis impersonater on his off duty hours. He had this odd 50s style of haircut that almost matched Elvis, he was wearing cowboy boots and he had a black belt with silver rivets in it. He's got to have one of the most genuine smiles and upbeat attitudes of any busdriver I've met, a really cool kind of guy.

He has some problems with the lift but after a little fiddling around with it it's working fine. Now often I'll get an impatient vibe from bus drivers who have finicky equipment but Jordan was pleasent all the way through this and made me feel he was there to take care of me and that I wasn't an inconvenience.

Now I don't know if it's really allowed to play non Disney music but he had on a nice soft jazz station on the speakers and it although I wouldn't normally listen to this type of music I really liked it.

He would make various announcements over the intercom. Things like "Welcome aboard, I hope you guys had a great trip, I know you're all sad to leave but think how happy you'll be to sleep in your own bed tonight." As we approached the entrance gate he gave us a little warning and told us to wave goodbye as we left Disney World. He told a couple of jokes on the trip back to the airport and gave some trivia out here and there.

Jordan was one driver I was happy to tip at the end of the trip. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know of an address I could send a comment letter to for DME?

i stuck the address in your original post

Just a quick update. I sent the following letter off in the mail today.

Dear Mears Transportation Group/Disney Magical Express,

I wanted to let you guys know I had one of the best Disney Magical Express drivers on my way home from my trip from the Coronado Springs Resort on 9/9/07, the pickup time was 3:45. I’m pretty sure his name is Jordan and he was fantastic.

Jordan’s got to have one of the most genuine smiles and upbeat attitudes of any bus driver I’ve met, a really cool kind of guy. I’m a wheelchair user and Jordan had some problems with the lift sticking but after a little fiddling around with it the lift worked fine. Now often I’ll get an impatient vibe from bus drivers who have finicky equipment but Jordan was pleasant all the way through this and made me feel he was there to take care of me and that I wasn’t an inconvenience.

He would make various announcements over the intercom. Things like “Welcome aboard, I hope you guys had a great trip, I know you’re all sad to leave but think how happy you’ll be to sleep in your own bed tonight.” As we approached the entrance gate he gave us a little warning and told us to wave goodbye as we left Disney World. He told a couple of jokes on the trip back to the airport and gave some trivia out here and there. He played a nice soft jazz station on the radio and even though that’s not normally my style of music I really like enjoyed listening to it on the way to the airport.

Having Jordan as a bus driver on the way home was a great ending to my Walt Disney World trip. I’d be very happy to have him as my bus driver on any future trips.
