I-pod Video/Podcast help

My DD 16 has a new I-pod video (30 GB given to her for Christmas). She subscribed to Ashley Tisdale's podcast, but when we tried to upload it to her I-Pod, it would not load. We kept getting a message that said that it could not be uploaded to her I-pod. Any ideas on how to get it on there?

Well, we just tried that and it still says that it cannot be uploaded to this I-pod. Any other ideas?

Have you tried the webpage for the iPod? There's a troubleshooting thing somewhere. Also, try a search here, someone posted a help thread for iPods not too long ago. Good Luck!

I have no idea what format it is in. How do I figure out what format it is in?

Well, we tried deleting and then unsubscribing the podcast and then reloading and subscribing it as the i-pod page said , but it still did not work. We are still getting the message that says "Ashley Tisdale- HSM Performance was not copied to the ipod 'Carrielee's ipod' because it cannot be played on this ipod. We have a 6th generation 30GB video and itunes 7, so we do not understand why it does not work.

Yes, we are downloading from itunes. Can someone list the exact steps to load a podcast, please. Perhaps we are missing something somewhere. We are all new to this.

I am subscribed to many, many podcasts, and there have been a couple that for some reason, I just can't download to my iPod. Not sure why, I did try emailing apple, but never got a response, so I just dropped it. I think I'll try to download the one you are trying- see if I get the same error message. It could just be a problem with that particular podcast.

Well, I did manage to get the Ashley Tisdale video on my iPod. I clicked subscribe, waited for it to download into my iTunes, then I hooked up my iPod and let it update.

Could it be that something in your preferences is preventing you from downloading this video? Has your dd gotten other video podcasts from iTunes? If not, you should try a couple more, if THEY won't download onto your iPod, then it's probably just a preference setting.

Thanks. We'll try a different video podcast and see what happens. I'll report back here tonight with our results. If anyone has successfully downloaded the Ashley Tisdale podcast, please let us know.

Well, we finally managed to get two of the episodes on her ipod (HSM performance and youtube contest), but it still will not upload the in studio section of the podcast. Additionally, it uploaded the first two parts 3 times onto the ipod but it is only in our library once. We do not know how to delete the extra episodes. Also, the uploaded podcast only shows up in the recently added section of the ipod, not in the video podcasts section.

search your hard drive to see if the videos were really downloaded 3 separate times or just rewritten twice. you've got all sorts of problems I've never seen before.

Okay, we'll check and see if it is only one one time or three. I, obviously, have no idea what's going on. However, she seems pretty happy to have what she has on there. We did try the Miley Cyrus podcast. It downloaded fine but does not show up under the podcast section only in the recently added.
