I am visiting WDW for 7 nights in early December. The cast includes myself, my 10-year-old daughter and my younger (only by a few years) sister, who is a WDW first-timer.
I have been booked for a standard room, rack rate at the same resort since December 06. I called to book CSR and decided that I wanted something nicer, more Christmassy and better tasting food, so I booked the Wilderness Lodge. I was excited about the Lodge because I have heard it is the best in December.
Today, that crazy ol' Visa discount came out, but it could not be applied to the WL. She had several options available (Beach Club, Yacht Club and Boardwalk). I chose the Beach Club simply because the rate was the best and the savings were something I could justify spending at the holidays.
So now I am going back-and-forth in my mind, wondering if I made a mistake?
Will I still enjoy the Beach Club over the Wilderness Lodge being Chritmas and all?
Did I make a mistake by surrendering my room and booking another resort?
Is the size of the room and daybed at the Beach Club going to make a big enough difference to make me feel good about the choice I made?
What would you have done?
