time to upgrade:) have Droid now thinking of getting I Phone.
need pros and cons. TIAprincess:

There's a reason every single phone tries to be like the iPhone: it's the best. I have a Droid now, but since iPhone moved to Verizon I'm jumping ship as soon as my upgrade time comes and switching to iPhone.

Droid is clunky and not very customizable. Google wants to tell you what to do and how, and its interface is not very customer-friendly. iPhone is a lot smarter and allows much more customization - I'm counting the days. Once my upgrade time comes around (another full month), I can gift my iTouch and only have to worry about ONE device instead of carting my iTouch AND my Droid everywhere.

I had a droid, granted it was an early model, but it was a piece of junk. I just got the iPhone and I love it so much! It is soo user friendly and it is great for social networking!

I got it when the iPhone 4s came out but instead of the 4s I got the 4 and saved some money ($50 off price) If you don't care about a better camera and the voice control I would consider getting the iPhone 4, you might be able to find it cheap somewhere.

REally, I think the Droid is a LOT more customizable with all the widgets. Granted, I like the iPhone much better but I still thin kthe droid is more customizable with the 6 home screens and all the widgets.

that is one feature that I like on the Droid compared to I Phone:)
plus, the talk navigation

I am a long ime droid user but I just got my first iphone (4s) and I will NEVER go back to droid! I just love the iphone! Its supereasy to use and i love all the fun features like the camera...I do everything on my phone now,its the first phone I can do everything on (including scanning papers to email)and its easy.

I did like the widgets, and agree the Droids are much more customizable, and I really really liked my Droid X. But I LOVE my new Iphone 4s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IPHONE IPHONE IPHONE. Had em both and the Iphone beats the droid hands down. I have an 4, and just got my wife the 4s. The 4s BLOWS the doors off my 4. Its unreal fast. Siri is a serious feature not to be overlooked. The camara pictures are stunning. For you Iphone owners now, download WAZE. Its a talking live traffic GPS. Cant beleive its free.

There is no correct answer. I have had both and current a Droid Razr user. Both have great features and work well. As I run the telcom department for a big company we get to see all the new "toys". I would say this. Both have tons of applications, Droid based can be customized more thanks to widgets, Iphone has a much better touch screen when it comes to typing/texting. Pricing is about the same if you head to head the top phones in 4S or a razr or Bionic. Sooooo try it in the store and pick the one you find easiest to use

I would tell you an iphone my husband would tell you a Droid, though I will add that he's returned his three times for problems. My iphone has also gone back once and I walked out with a brand new one, my husband has gotten a refurbrished from Verizon each time. I think some of the things that he loved about his Droid have been changed with the newest version of the latest iphone. When I first got my iphone I thought it was a very expensive, but I honestly have to say it was well worth it and I really really use it.

My Droid X is completely customizable.....I love it. But honestly, what I love you might not, I chose my phone after careful consideration and comparisons and I don't regret it at all.

That said, if DBF was getting a smart phone, he would get the iPhone, simply because that's what he's used to. He has an iTouch currently so for him that's what he'd stick with.

I have a Windows Phone, which I got for FREE through ATT and it is the best! Does everything Droid/Iphone does but without the cost. It is lightweight, fast, and you can sync outlook if you have that for your job. Wanted an iphone for a while, but can't justify the cost and I have so many friends that lose or break them and then have to turn around and fork out the $$$ again!

iPhone! My daughter had a droid that Verizon replaced without charge six, yes six, separate times. She had so many problems (mostly problems with freezing) that they eventually allowed us to upgrade her phone six months early. She has an iPhone now and loves it and has had no problems. I went from a Blackberry to an iPhone and I love mine too. Yes, we  iPhones!

I love my Droid X! It's far more customizable than any Apple product. The only problems I've had were user-induced. (Like dropping a naked phone onto the asphalt... That gets you a cracked screen fyi!)

I love the iPhone, I have had both. Definitely went back to iPhone after having a Droid.

Went from the original EVO, which I liked a lot to the iPhone 4s 32gb, which I'm in love with. It's a lot more user friendly, but then it's just like my iPad2. Biggest thing for me as a female is it's a lot easier to text/type on it than the EVO. The EVO always wanted meto say what it wanted, resulting in some very strange converastions with my daughter, friends, etc. I picked up mine last THursday and have had no issues at all, and have not noticed the huge battery drain some people mentioned, although my local Apple dealer checked my phone and it came with the fix already in place. I even think I like Siri!

does the IPhone auto correct your text like the Droid?princess:

it does, but IMO, not to the extent that the Droid did. Case in point, every time I typed "at" on the Droid it decided I wanted "st". I have used Siri to text three times so far, the first time it was dead on the money, second and third I did not enunciate as clearly an it blew it completely. It's a neat option though, especially the fact that you don't have to hit the microphone button to talk text like you do on the Android. I still need to play around with it a lot more but so far I'm very happy.

Thank you all for your input. Looks like I'm off to test drive the I Phone:cool1:princess:
