***I personally like the Chicks!***

I like their music. Always have.
I dont buy CD's for people's political opinions either way.
Just like the fact that I dont buy CD's because of the way someone dresses.
This list could go on and on...

I basically like to listen to music that I like.

Anyone else just listening to the music?

Yep, that would be me. I don't care what any actor, actress, musician thinks about politics or anything else. I watch/listen to them perform and that's it. Celebrity advertising doesn't work for me either. I'm not going to buy something just because Kiefer Sutherland is the spokesperson. (even though I LOVE Jack Bauer)

I actually like them now, where as before I couldn't stand them. I mean seriously, that ridiculous song about some guy named Earl compared to the more meaningful music I have heard form them now, I don't get the hatred towards them. I thought we lived in the U.S.- freedom of speech.

I am not a huge fan, but I do like them now. I comend them for the way they handled everything.

I actually like them more now after what they said. They said what they had to say and are not apologizing for it. I listen to music for the music, not because people want to boycott for what is said.

I remember the first time I heard the Dixie Chicks years ago at the State Fair. I was horrified. They sounded like drowning cats, it was awful. After they added Maines I was shocked how different they sounded, and how great! I've loved ever since. The political stuff? made me adore them more. Especially since I really feel like they've been unfairly treated in the aftermath.

I LOVED the video from "Not Ready to Make Nice" , it was cool and artsy.

I personally LOVE the Chicks.

I agree, that maybe it wasn't career smart, for Natalie to say what she did, but I definately admire them for not backing down.

People who can't appreciate the music, are missing out on some really good stuff.

It says alot, when a group with virtually NO airplay, wins the Grammy.

BTW- Can't stand Toby Keith anymore, not because of the feud w/ the chicks, but the fact, that everything he does, is the same old crap.

Most country stations are not playing them anymore. Now they are all ticked w/ them for pulling out of the country music scene, and trying more mainstream music. Also holding grudges for the comments. Not even giving them a chance. Our local station will play the old stuff, but not the new, so it isn't that Country fans don't want to hear them.

Who can blame the Chicks. They were treated like crap, by the country fans.

Other stations don't play them either. To them, they are still country.

Listen a bit on line. Their new CD is VERY good.

I listen to the top 40 station and the Dixie Chicks are played no less than 3 times a day.That is how i heard about them. I love them!
