I had a coupon that needed to be used by August 31 and off to the Yankee Candle store I went!

I purchased the following:

a large jar Vanilla Carmel

Swirls:

chocolate chip cookie/buttercream
cucumber&canteloup/honeydew mellon

A housewarmer electric fragrance filled with autumn splendor aka Harvest.

Has anyone tried the electric fragrances? I thought I'd give them a try instead of investing in a big candle.

I feel like I'm ready for Fall and if I get tired of them, I can use the C&C/HM.

Thank goodness my coupon was for $15.

What new scents have you tried?

Was this the flagship store? I live so close, but hardly ever get to it. I love the chocolate chip candles:D

I live outside of St. Louis and went to one of the malls today that has a Yankee Candle store in it. Bad thing is they gave me two $10 off coupons that have to be used in September. Looks like I might have to make another trip back!:hyper:

I was very pleased to find a 3 jar set at Costco last week for only $19.99 - about what I paid for one jar of the same size when I bought at a local store carrying Yankee Candles. While the lable isn't Yankee Candle, the box does says it's a Yankee Candle product. These are definitely "Autumn" scents - I don't remember the exact names (and am too lazy to go check :)) but there's a pumpkin spice, an apple pie/spice and a great vanilla.

In general, I favor light "tart" fruit scents or spicy fragrances so this deal was too good to pass up even though I really don't need any more candles. Now I'm trying to decide if I should go back to see if they still have some and get a couple for gifts. I think a jar would be nice hostess gift for holiday parties.

I haven't tried the electric warmers but did see one (or at least I think it is like what you refer to) at a craft store. They had a large jar candle sitting on the warmer and the whole thing was liquid. I bet that makes the candles last a lot longer.

It sounds like you're all set for awhile. I really need to get out and buy some new candles for Fall. Nothing like candles burning once the wind starts to get a chill and the leaves start falling off the trees.:D

If anyone is an exchanger ;) the fall Yankee Candle exchange will be starting on the first! :hyper:

I do think I might have to watch out for it.::yes:: Thanks for the heads up.:D

I got one last week called Woodlands or something similar :) and it smells great. ::yes:: It was in the "limited edition" section which I just love as they have all the newest scents to try and there is always at least one I can't live without. :teeth: I also picked up a few of the wine scented tarts that smell very good as well. ::yes::

This isn't Yankee, but I bought a Bath and Body Works Crisp Green Apple candle the other day. And since I spent $25, I got a free trio of smaller candles in the apple, pumpkin and maple (YUCK). Nice and fall-like. Personally I can't stand the sweet smells like maple, vanilla, sugar, but I like the spicier/fruity ones very much.

My two favorites are Storm Watch and Sage and Citrus. At Christmas I love White Christmas. I just love Yankee Candles ! :teeth:

My fresh linen candle has almost burnt to the bottom (it smells like fabric softener). I guess soon I'll need a new one!

I love the sage and citrus, too! I stay away from the food scents because I think they make me want to eat too much. I do have a hazelnut coffee candle which I light in the morning when I have had overnight guests.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Yankee Candles !!:hyper:

My favorite flavors seem to be the "food" flavors.... I don't care for any of the "flowery" scents.

I have gotten some good deals off Ebay on Yankee Candles... we have an outlet here, but they rarely have good sales.

I have a Buttercream burning right now !!

Whoo Hoo!

I noticed that my favorite McIntosh Apple is scent of the month for September. I'll have to stop by......

I picked up one of those that you plug into the wall. Lasted for about two months. I'll have to get a refill soon.

I went to Bath & Body today and they are having a 'buy 3 get 1 free' sale on their home scents. I got 3 - 3" pillar candles in pumpkin scent and one 3" pillar candle in apple cider scent. I do love candles! I had the coupon and got the 3 candle set free, too. I have got to stay out of Bath & Body Works!! Yum!!

Does anyone know if you write to Yankee, asking to pretty please bring a scent back, if they do it? If they have enough demand of course. My all time *favorite* scent is Coconut Bay and it's discontinued. :(

I love Yankee Candle too! I only burn the tarts though! I love Juicy Grapefruit for crisp summer days, or Summer Fresh. And I love the Autumn apple/spice/pumpkin scents and I love Buttercream for snow storms! Buttercream is good any time I want to snuggle! :p I also love the Storm and Ocean ones! I need to get to the Yankee Candle store and soon!
