I Paid $8.00 for a Birthday Card!!!...It was Worth Every Penny.

Luv it !! :woohoo:

An $8 memory that will last a lifetime. :wizard:

P.S. For all you Jack Skellington fans out there, there is *really* cool card at Hallmark for Halloween. It has Jack on the front and when you open it an even larger Jack pops up silhouetted by a full moon as "This is Halloween" plays over and over...

It was tempting. ;)

Well, thanks very much....Nephew loves Jack Skellington. He's all excited about getting the vinylmation pieces when we go. Do you happen to remember how much the card was? :rolleyes1

Very cool story! What a lucky little boy to have such a great aunt!

How old is your nephew?

Did anyone in the family happen to video tape that?!?! That would make a GREAT Disney memory for the campaign this year!!! Congrats and I hope you guys have an AWESOME and MAGICAL trip!!!:cloud9::woohoo::banana:

What a wonderful story...have a Great time !!!

Holy Cats, you totally made me tear up! What a great way to tell him he's going to the Happiest Place on Earth! These next 20+ days are going to be the most excitement filled days for him!

Woohoo!

;) I gave DH the same card for his 46 th Bday this July 4th. It is still sitting on our dresser and we have to push ole Mickey from time to time just to hear the music and see the twinkles. What a lovely surprise for your nephew, enjoy the trip!! WE are 43 days away!!.

I believe it was either $5.99 or $6.99, I'm not quite sure...

I remember thinking it was just a tad too much to justify buying it just for me to keep, (which I would, of course... ) But, now I'm thinking I'm going to go back and buy it... It's *that* well done. Almost collector's quality.

*sigh*

Hallmark stores are a very dangerous place for me to be at the start of the holidays.... :rotfl:

That's too cute! Made tears come to my eyes too. :goodvibes

I love all those musical cards they have out now. Most of them are $5 which I consider a good deal when you look at the price of a plain old card -some of them are $4! These days I don't often buy regular cards because they seem like a waste. Those musical cards are great! :thumbsup2

Just a BTW....

I was in Hallmark again this afternoon and that Jack Skellington card is $6.99.

I know, because I bought two. ;) One to keep and one to share...

I would have bought one for you if I could have...

If you decide to get one, like all the "singing cards", always pick one from the back of the pile so the battery is "fresher".

But, you probably knew that already. :thumbsup2

P.S. I also pre-ordered a Disney snow globe that has Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and Mickey all holding hands and rotating around a Christmas tree.

In ALL my years of collecting, I have NEVER seen Mickey and Tink holding "hands". Be on the lookout for that one...

Do you know I had plans to go to the Hallmark store at the mall today to get that card? But the weather was so nice (more of a rarity for me than you) I didn't make it. I'll probably stop by tomorrow after work. I can't believe you bought two! LOL!

And did you pre-order the snowglobe from Hallmark???? It sounds awesome. We're big Peter Pan and Tink fans, throw Mickey in and I'm sold!

What a heartwarming story!!

I want to go get that card, too.......but I have a question.....is it specifically a birthday card??

Love it!

I paid $8.00 for one of those cards too. It plays the "Hot Dog" song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, my daughter loves that song and always dances to it so on her first birthday she opened the card and immediately started dancing to the music, like you said, PRICELESS!

Love it!:lovestruc
