I think they need to quit whining (everyone) and build the darn thing already. The Coliseum is not a very good NBA arena. I've been to NBA games at the Staples Center (Los Angeles), Madison Square (New York), Philips Arena (Atlanta), Orlando Arena (of course), and Charlotte Coliseum (Charlotte)), and our arena is the worst of the bunch for a team, though Orlando's isn't much better, but they're getting a new one already anyway.

I'm going to the game on Friday where we'll finish sweeping the Heat ...

The majority of us here in Orlando do not want the Magic to get an new arena and if any of our county officals want to keep their jobs for any length of time won't give them 1.
Plus the existing arena isn't even paid for yet.

If they need an arena so bad then Mr "Amway" can pay for it.

They were offered a plan to retro-fit the old arena and balked. The billionaire owner wants to use you the tourist's hotel and tourism tax money to build it and that doesn't sit to well with most of the residents of Orlando.

The money should be spent on tourism related projects, not some cheap billionaire's personal needs.
