OK... I booked Poly for 2 nights GV June 21-23 with CRO with AAA.

I thought of maybe trying AKL from June 23-26. Then on to POFQ 26-29. And just forget about POP.

I have been to POP and POFQ...and love love it!! I am just concern about Poly and if I even want to try AKL. I have stayed at WL... and love love it!!

Should I... Poly 2~Pop 3~POFQ 3 OR
Pop 5~POFQ 3 Original plan OR
Poly 2~AKL 3~POFQ 3 OR
Poly 2~WL 3~POFQ 3 OR

What do you guys think? I hope I didn't confuse you guys!

Although I like to split my stay, I wouldn't do it more than once in a trip. I'd do a couple of days at the Poly then the rest at either AKL or POFQ. I find it's hard to settle in when you know you're going to have to pack up again shortly. I like to do either 3 nights & 3 nights or evern better, 4 and 4. That way there's just that one day in the middle where you're switching, which can be a fun day if you plan it just right!

Good luck. All the resorts you have mentioned are lovely and I'm sure you'll have a great time whatever you decide.

I agree I thhink that would be switching too much for a short period of time you would always be packing and unpacking. I like any of your resort choices They all sound wonderful.

I also agree that changing 3 times is too much. So, I would do one of these three things...
3 nights at POFQ, then 3 at Polynesian
3 nights at AKL, 3 at Polynesian
3 nights at POFQ, 3 at AKL

3 and 3 is a nice amount of time at each. Otherwise you're spending a lot of time packing, checking out, checking in, unpacking.

Jumping in from lunch to say:
3 Pop and 3 AKL or whatever days you can budget, but no more than two resorts.
I think you'll absolutely love AKL! It wasn't on my list at all to try, but my mother's choice two years ago when I took her. I fell in love as I walked into the lobby... the rest is history!

Happy planning!
Debbie

Thanks guys for replying. I don't mind changing 3 times during our 8 night trip. We have done 4 different resorts in 9 nights before by fault! And I couldn't believe that it was possible, but yes, it does take away your time from the park and from relaxation. So 3 resorts in 8 nights, is no big deal. But I will consider everyone's suggestion about just doing 2 resorts.

Anyone else would like to share their opinions? I am sooo all ears!!

Telly, I'd also say AKL and Poly, that's a super warm time and personally my kids beg for some pool time. It's nice to be able to go back to the hotel and relax for a while and the deluxe pools, are, to me, some of the best. I actually wound up cancelling our June trip because we are a little"Disney'd out" (not me, just DH and the kids). June would have been our 3rd trip in 4 months, so we're now thinking we'll go back for the HP in October instead. Anywhere you stay you'll have fun. We did the split stay in October, WL to Poly. It was stressful to ay the least, mostly due to issues with the Poly. Just give yourself plent of time for the new resort to get everything ready for you. Our room wasn't ready till close to 5PM after we had left the WL early that morning. :( Add to that a dinner PS at Ohana at 5:40 and HP at 7 that evening. Then the Poly pool was closed for sanitizing...............

For me, I would stick to 2 resorts. I hate packing and unpacking.:crazy2:

Since you said it doesn't bother you to change, I'd go with your plan of: Poly 2~AKL 3~POFQ 3 :flower1: If you haven't tried AKL yet, I think you would like it. The kids would love the pool and the animals.

For me, I would stay at the Poly the entire time. AKL seems "out of the way" to me. I love the location of the Poly, I love the atmosphere, the restaurants, the convenience.

What a great dilemma to have! If you don't mind switching resorts, then I'd say be bold and go with option #3 ~ 2 nights Poly, 3 nights AKL, 3 nights POFQ. I don't know about anyone else, but it's not Disney until I'm walking down Main Street, so the MK is always the first park for us. If you're the same, then by starting at the Poly, you're just 2 monorail stops away.

Then give the AKL a try. You'll feel like you dropped out of Florida right into an African vacation. I think your kids would have a great time seeing the animals, participating in story time and some of the other wonderful activities that I've heard mentioned. Nothing is set in stone either. If you decide that perhaps 2 nights is enough at the AKL, then I'm sure they'd be more than happy to accommodate you at the POFQ for 4 nights (if they have availability).

I know how hard it is to branch out to other resorts, especially when you have your favorites, but you might just be pleasantly surprised.

Good luck with your decision.

Oh Poly for 8 nights!! Oh my... That's a lot of money!! Anyways, even if I did have the money, the only think that is available is for the two nights. I call everyday to add one more night, but nothing is available. And also, I like to do splits! :flower:

POFQ is also available for only 3 nights. Most resorts are fully booked during the time of our trip.

Poly for 2 nights ~ AKL for 3 nights ~ POFQ for 3 nights. This will give me the chance to try 2 new resorts! Oh.. if I do this, I hope I will not miss my POP! Yes, it's sometimes hard for me to try new resorts cause I do have my favorites!

It is a pleasant dilemma! :p

So we don't "miss" some of our fav resorts when we don't stay there we like to go back, and hit there store, & / or fav resturant and walk around. remembering what you loved about it. :flower:

Fantasia,

I just have a feeling your family will love the AKL! I wasn't terribly excited about staying there last month, but ended up loving it!!! (It was DH's b-day, so he got to pick the resort.) I'm a beach girl, and when I'm at Disney, I like to feel like I'm at Disney - not in Africa! Boy, did I underestimate the resort - so exotic, unique - the food was wonderful, rooms were relaxing, etc., etc. The smell in the lobby!!!! I could go on and on (oh yeah, and about those animals...)

Needless to say, we want to try a lot of different resorts, too - but it will be hard not to go back to AKL very soon!! It was awesome!!!!

Good luck with whatever you decide! :goodvibes

I'm probably coming in late on your decision, but I would go with Poly 2~WL 3~POFQ 3

Just for the sheer reason of convenience to the theme parks and resorts. From the WL you can visit Ft Wilderness if desired or hop on the boat back to the Monorail loop.
Lots of dining options around the Magic Kingdom/Ft Wilderness area and with POR you are close to DTD.

Telly,

You will LOVE AKL.

I will be a the Poly in two weeks for the first time. We are so excited!!! We love to try new resorts. Next time you should try the Epcot area. Your kids would LOVE SB!!!

I say go for the three-Poly-AKL-POFQ

We had excellent bus service at AKL. 8am PS at CRT-no problem! We were there for Labor Day weekend and the resort was at capacity. Yet, the resort never felt crowded, the pool was fantastic...you will want to take a "break" day at this resort. maybe start off with breakfast at Boma, hang out by the pool and sign the kids up for some of the activities. Two words to describe AKL-Unique and Luxurious! the smells and sounds alone.......

we love POFQ , too. I think your plan will work!!!!

You are so not late on chiming in! I am still debating here...as usual. WL... I love love it!! I am a beach water person! I don't know how I am going to feel about AKL. I like animals, but I am not into it. But maybe once I am there, my thoughts would change. I am used to taking the bus everywhere, so riding the bus is fine with me.

I have this crazy thought... 2 nights at Poly GV, 1 night at AKL Savannah, 2 nights at WL Courtyard and 3 nights at POFQ!

But if we are so in dire need to go back to POP.. then it would look like this:
Poly-AKL-WL-POP-POFQ!! Ha ha ha.. that's too much..and I am too crazy to even think about it!!

I would like to hear more suggestions, thoughts... if there's anymore! :)
