If this is in the wrong place, please move it.

Ok, here is the whole backstory. I am Perla from Suzy and Perla's trip reports and I've been writing reports on here for awhile. I've been posting my pictures originally from Webshots and then Photobucket. Webshots are now down and I really like having trip reports for my kids to read. And I'd like to keep them forever.

Because of that I decided to start a blog where I'm in control of the pictures and the like and where it's all collected together for my family. But I love being on Disboards TR thread collected with all my best buddies. So I was going to copy the blog posts and then paste them on here.

Unfortunately, my photos are then not visible since it's not the right code for message boards. I'm using Wordpress. I can make short code links to the pics on my blog but I'd prefer it if people who don't want to go to my blog can still just stay here on Disboards like I've always done.

So then I pondered posting to Flickr as it seems more stable photo-wise and I don't think it will disappear in 10 years. But will that make traffic to my blog weird? To have the photos not on my site but on Flickr? It puts me back to being not in charge of my photos.

Help! Surely some of you other trip reporters write blogs? Is there anyway for me to do the work once and get to share it twice, once for my family and once for my Disboards friends?

Maybe AGPrincess can help you. I know she has a blog as well as writes TR's here on the Dis. I'm sure she has some good advice.

Good Luck !!

I love your TR's !!

Thanks! I'm gonna PM her. I'll take what I can get in the help department. I've been on these boards for years and years and still feel like I'm an internet baby. A Disney adult but internet baby.

I'm working on my Disneyland trip currently and still have an August trip from last year I haven't TR'd and we are going this August. So I got behind and my family revolted. :hourglass Where does the time go? Thus the blog was born. Along with the pre mentioned picture issues. But I hate to lose out on all our great conversations on here.

I agree. The DIS is the bombdiggity. Plus, I have learned so much about the parks and resorts from you. Going over to check out your blog. I bet the kids have grown so much in the last year. I hope things are going well with your business as well !! I know that was keeping you really busy for a while. Looking forward to reading !!

I did it! Thanks for the help both via PM and on here.

You can post pictures directly from your own site to here. You just have to click on them and copy the picture's http:// code. Then you come over here and click on the "Insert Image" tab at the top up there that is yellow and looks like mountains and a sun. Paste your code in there and it adds the IMG to the front and back and your photos are here!

Woohoo! It's not as simple as copying and pasting the blog, but it's way simpler than having to upload my pics a second time. You can try it for yourself or look at my blog and this Disneyland TR and you can see the Hollywood post is exactly the same as my blog and it didn't take that long. Again I must say thanks and ya'll are the coolest. :cool2:
