Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share a little project I just finished for my DD (she is 4). A little background, I am a huge scrapbooker and love going to Disney. My dd loves to look through my books at previous trips with her friends, but the friends aren't so careful with them and I am nervous that they would get ruined.
On the news a little while back, they had a "techie" segment and it featured a site called www.blurb.com where you can download their software and create a book. There are a few different styles and colors. Each page you can customize the layout in so many different ways. You can also change the font and colors. When you are done with it, upload it to their site and you can order it either in a hardbound book or soft cover.
The book was about 49 pages and I ordered it hardbound. It is 8x10 size and it only cost $43.00 plus shipping. I also looked on other sites like Kodakgallery and the book would have cost me much more and you couldn't customize it as much. That was IMO a good deal compared to the hundreds I pay on scrapbook supplies.
You can take a peek at pages 1-15 on a preview page: http://www.blurb.com/images/uploads/catalog/87/30887/25045-62f5d9bde1cfa6e07286ae06e2086c4b.pdf
I am now in the process of making a family book for us for 2006, I will have it printed after Christmas to send to our IL's who live in MA. I think it would be nice since we used to be so close until we moved to FL. I know they miss out on the kids day to day life.
