I need to check in on-line soon and my printer isn't working!

I have a couple of hours before I have to check-in for our SW flight for tomorrow. I think I read on this board that I can check in on-line, but print out my boarding passes when I get to the airport. Has anyone done this at Midway (Chicago)? And if so, where do I go for this?? Do you think I need to allow for alot more time at the airport to take care of this? Or is this something that will take just seconds?

Have not done it at Midway, but done it at others. Check in on line and when you get to the airport go to the little machine by the desk. When you put in your information, it should say you are checked in and should get you a chance to reprint your boarding pass. If at does not work go to the desk, they should be able to do it.

Exactly like CARL59 explained, if you don't have access to a printer you can still check-in on line and when you get to the airport use the kiosk at the ticket counter. Enter your SW confirmation number or swipe your SW frequent flyer card and your reservation will appear on the screen. It will prompt you through to reprint your boarding pass and check your bags. So whatever "letter" you were awarded when you did your on-line check-in from home your boarding pass will print out from the kiosk with that letter. We have done this a number of times and never a problem. Hope this helps.

You can also use a printer at your local library if it is convenient!

Couldn't you still check in with the sky cap outside? They are using the computer also to give out boarding passes so yours should be in their system. Not sure though since I always print mine out before I go. Also when you check into your hotel/resort if you are staying on WDW grounds ask at the front desk if you can get your return flight boarding pass printed out the day before you go home. We were told we could when we stayed at the Contemporary this June but elected to use their business center instead as the check in line was very long and I didn't want to wait.

I have never used anything but my drivers license at the ticket counter.... Even though I have had all kinds of boarding passes, tickets, recpts. They just want my license, they printed everything from that....
At Delta you walk up to a kiosk and they tell you to put any credit card of yours in the machine..(I didnt like doing it) and it reads your name from the card and looks up your tickets and flight info....It looked to me like all the airlines had this.........It did speed up the process.....took 2 minutes.
Then someone took our luggage, tagged it, weighed it and put it on the conveyor.
ITS NOT A BIG DEAL AT ALL!!!!!

OP is flying Southwest. There is no seat assignments. You can check in 24 hours before your flight to try and get the A passes.. As others have suggested, you can print your boarding passes at the airport if you don't have a printer at home.

Thanks for everyone's responses.

Here's what happened: I checked in online at the 24 hour mark and I was able to check in the kids and the other adult in our party only. I couldn't check in myself online because I have a lap baby linked to my name. I have to check in at the desk(groan...that means a long line I'm sure). I'm assuming they want to see that the baby is an infant (or proof of age that she's under 2).

I got A boarding passes for everyone else, and I'm hoping that this will all be a moot point anyway because of having the baby. But I don't want to count on everyone being allowed preboarding (just hoping for it...lol).

I guess since I have to go to the desk at SW tomorrow anyway, I can just get them to print out all of the boarding passes.

Such a bother!
