hey there everyone.
well I am really happy my mother won 2 adult tickets for US/IOA. and she gave them to me. They expire in july.. so I am going next month. The tickets we got is to do both parks in one day. I have read on how its impossible to do both parks in 1 day & that you will miss out on alot. but like its free for me im going to take it. It will be me and my husband and our 4 year old son. we live in Miami so We are just going for a weekend since my husband cant take off any more days of work. I want to do the US/IOA in one day and a water park the other ( my son has been begging for that one)
I want to ask you US/IOA experts what park should i go first, to take advantage of because I will get there before park opens.... that my son would have fun. Me and my husband only go on rides he can go on. And if you guys have any tips. And what rides do you suggest? (btw my 4 year likes splash moutain, thunder mountain)
I just want to get there early and go to the rides first that he would like. i have never been to either parks with my son.. i went before he was born and I dont remmember what there are for kids.
In November we will be heading back to orlando for a week for my sons birthday and I am going to do universal in one day and IOA another day ....to enjoy more the parks.....
but for this trip since its just for a weekend I wanted to know what advices you have...
&& Thank you and I will appreciate if u guys can give me any feedback
Thanks have a good day!!!! ;)

Are you going to stay onsite? I would highly recommend one night onsite so that you get the full advantage of your day there. That way you can easily hit the highlights in both parks and still go back for more. You could probably also manage a short rest period during the day at the resort pool.

How tall is your son? If he likes Splash Mountain and BTMR and he makes the height requirements, he might like IOA. Spiderman, Jurassic Park (a bit like Splash moutain but with dinosaurs), Flying Unicorn, Popeye and all the Dr. Suess rides are there. There is also a wonderful play area - Camp Jurassic which has rope bridges, towers and water guns that I can't keep my kids out of and a paradise for little boys (and big ones). It is a great place for one parent to stay with the child while he is playing while the other goes and fits in a couple of the coasters.

But then again, if he loves Shrek and Nicktoons, Universal might be the place for him.

Stay on site -then you don't have to make the choice :teeth:

You need to go to univeralorlando.com and check the height requirements. With that in mind, you then need to look at which rides there are that your son would most likely enjoy. That is the park you want to hit when the park opens in the morning. Lines tend to get very, very long in the summer after lunch. That is why you won't be able to do both parks in one day since they no longer have free "fast passes". You can buy the front of the line passes which entitles you to use the express lane once on each ride or if you stay onsite you get unlimited use of the express line.

thank you!!! i had checked the website and i sort of figured it out.. i just wanted to hear some of you guys opinion.... & im not staying on site..my cousin lives 10 minutes away...so we we are going to stay there......

I've been to Universal a few times, and I love it.

Jimmy Neutron, Shrek, Men In Black and ET are fab.

They have some fantastic entertainment at Universal. Catch the Blues Brothers, Horror Make up Show and they have the stars walking round the streets.
