Wanting a good place to dine at either DTD or in a resort that won't charge me to park. We will be staying off site and won't be visiting a Disney park this trip but will be going to DTD one night. What is your favorite and why?

I really like Wolfgang Puck Express. Excellent food (last time I had the BBQ chicken pizza and creme brulee - amazing!).

None of the Disney Resorts charge for parking, unless you choose to valet park. The best restaurant on property is V&As at the GFR.

I had not heard that they had started to charge for parking at DTD. We really like Raglan Road, but the Boathouse has gotten very good reviews.

The Swan/Dolphin charge for parking, but I think they validate if you dine at one of their signatures. Bluezoo is probably our favourite there.

DTD...We like Raglan Rd.
Resorts...We like several, Ohana, Kona at Poly, Maya Grill at Coronado Springs, The Wave at Contemporary, Olivias at Old Key West, ESPN at Boardwalk, Beaches N Cream at Beach Club, Grand Floridian Cafe, Trails End breakfast at Fort Wilderness

I don't think resorts charge to park if you are eating there. Regardless of where you stay. I haven't heard of Downtown Disney charging either.

At DTD, my favorite is Raglan Road for TS and Earl of Sandwich for CS. RR has a wide selection of very good food and a nice atmosphere. Earl of Sandwich is very busy but the line moves quickly--interesting variety of fresh-made sandwiches and the price is good.

We love Raglan Road at DTD, but I very much want to try the Boathouse there

My favorite Quick Service-style restaurant is Wolfgang Puck Express. My family will be heading there for dinner one night next trip. We absolutely love this place. It's a huge step up from the normal quick service restaurants you know and love at Disney. It's the closest thing you can get to Table Service quality at a quick service restaurant. You order everything at the counter - your entree, dessert and drink. You fill your own drink and find a table. That's the last sign of "counter service" at this restaurant. You're given a number and your food is brought out to you by a waiter.

- The pizza is large and filling. It's not your normal pizza - which is nice. I'm from NY, so it'd be unfair to compare the pizza to NY pizza. I refuse to eat traditional pizza in NY, so choosing from BBQ chicken, etc. is a nice change of pace. The crust is thin and crispy and it's delicious. WPE also has something for everyone. If your kids like chicken fingers, they can order chicken fingers. If your husband is a meat-and-potato guy, they have bacon wrapped meatloaf with mashed potatoes. If you eat healthy - they have salads; if you want something more "elegant," they have fish dishes and awesome pasta dishes. It's a mix between New American with a French twist and some Italian.

Raglan is very good. It's good if you want more of a Disney experience - dinner and a show. It's loud, the dancers are entertaining and the food is good. It's similar to WPE in that it's filling comfort food, but it's Irish/English as opposed to New American. It's a great spot for a pint.

Raglan's quick service is Cookes of Dublin. They have a beer battered burger that's LEGIT. You won't get a normal cheeseburger here - it's cheeseburgers with an Irish twist and more artisan than anything else.

Those are the three I'd recommend.

Here are blogs I wrote about Wolfgang and Cookes:

Raglan Road! The food is phenominal (I dont give anything that amount of praise normally). I have to say the Shepards pie is tops with a strong second (per my wife) being the serious steak. And c'mon! Let's all say it together...."Guinness Stout Please!"
