I need some pixie dust, please

I had to take our much loved cat to the vet today, and he put her to sleep. I am absolutely devastated. I've had her for 16 years and over the last 4 weeks her health has slowly deteriated and today the vet advised me that she had come to the end of her days and the best and kindest thing for her would be to put her to sleep. Her name was Purdy.

Many thanks to all of you for the kind sentiments, hugs and pixie dust. Just knowing people care helps a great deal. She had been with us for so long, even before I had kids, (the eldest being 14 now) so to not have her around any more is quite strange.
Anyway, thank you again.

So sorry to hear your news. I know exactly what you are going through we lost our 16 year old cat 4 years ago in the same way he was a young healthy cat then over a few weeks he went down hill fast. i can still cry over him now even though we have now got two 18 month old bungles of love
