H opefully some one on here can give me some help with this. While on vacation earlier this month my sister was helping me apply sunscreen to my neck area as i already had a second degree sunburn there and didn't want it to get worse. while in the process i swear she made it her lifes mission to get it all over my white shirt well.... fast forward to wash day and it has turned my white shirt yellow around the collar where she applied the sunscreen. the shirt has been washed and somehow i beleived that taking it to the dry cleaners would help wrong again. can some please tell me if the shirt is ruined or if there is something i'm missing do you think that dawn dish washing soap would help or maybe ivory? please help me this is a very nice shirt and it's new on top of it.

I was using sunscreen spray at Disney a few years ago, brand new white shirt. I didn't realize it was stained until we got home. I tried washing, soaking in vinegar and something else that escapes me now. Nothing worked and I ended up pitching the shirt - it was woven cotton.

If the shirt has been washed and dried you are probably out of luck, if it has been kept wet, I would try vinegar.

Maybe a bleach pen? I think Clorox makes one. I'm not sure bleach would help with yellowing, though. You may have to just consider your shirt a causality of sunscreen and move it on to its new life as dish rags.
