Hi everyone,

On the 14th September I am going to Disneyland paris with my hubby and two small children who will be 2 and 3 yrs old. We are going for 3 days but I have bought a hopper ticket just for 2 days.

What I wanted to ask was what is the best way to plan the two days to see as much as possible? Has anyone been with children this young before?

Any help will be much appreciated thanks

I went for three days in June with my 3-year-old and 5-year-old (plus a 6-moth-old) all daughters - first trip for all of us. We never set foot in the Studios park, though I never really planned to. Part of our time was taken up waiting in lines to get Princess autographs and a Minnie autograph. We also didn't rush through lunches. But the girls were exhausted by supper time, and the three-year old twice fell asleep at the table. I would have prefered to go back to the hotel for afternoon naps, but it seemed like it would be a bit of a hassle unless you could stay at the Disneyland Hotel. After three days, the girls had seen about everything they wanted to see in the MK, and rode a few of their favorites second and third times. But they certainly never got bored during that short stay.

Lots of people who post on this board have been with young children.

You will probably find most of the rides they want to do are in Fantasyland (with the exception of Buzz) so I would say plan to start your trip here.

Try to get into the park as early as possible.

Are you staying in a Disney Hotel? If so you may be able to get EMH (only on certain days) when you can go into the park early to do certain rides before it opens. This gives you a head start.

It can take a long time queuing to see the characters so if this is something your children want to do be prepared to spend a long time waiting. A way to avoid this is to go into the studios. There are probably less rides for the age of your children but the queues to see the characters tend to be much shorter.Or you could book a character meal - There is a character tea at Plaza Gardens which is not too expensive.

Hopefully it may not be too busy when you go as a lot of children in different countries will have gone back to school. Try and do as much research as possible before you go- look at maps and info about rides and be prepared for the fact you wont do everything but it means you have to go back again and again.....

Hi there,

We went twice last year. The first time I was pregnant and DD1 was 4 and the second time we went when DD2 was only 3 months old. When we went in June we went for 5 days, stayed in Sequoia Lodge and only spent half days in the park because DD1 was exhausted. The weather was very warm and she needed afternoon naps (she had afternoon naps till Xmas and we had t stop them because she started school last january). What we did was we went to the park early enough to go on a few rides she wanted or get in the queue for an autograph. The whole place is so magical that the little ones get a lot out of only looking around. It's very overwhelming so maybe a little break here and there would do them good.

They'll love it though. I stood pregnant in the rain for 2 hours so that my DD can have a photo with Snow White - and I don't regret it!!! It was lovely!

We're going tomorrow for 4 days and can't wait!

Ema
