I need some help, or a push or something!

    I am feeling in such a rut, I did a search on this website, found that my last exercise was September 16th, my last clippie was back in April!!!
    I just can not seem to get into the swing of it! My one year anniversary on South Beach will be the 6th of this month. I've only lost 30 pounds and others have done so much better and seem to be able to keep on track.
    I'm not whining, well I guess I am, I need a kick! I weighed my self today, and thankfully I've "only" gained 3 pounds but it feels like so much more....I guess that is from not exercising I feel more flabby...you know what I mean?
    In May I was so close to another clippie but just have not done well since then. And to be honest I need to lose at least 25 more pounds.
    For those of you who have stayed on program, with your eating and exercise, how do you do it? I really need to get myself back in gear!

    I have been at a weight plateau for quite a few months, after losing 25 pounds relatively easily and quickly in about 2 months. The only thing that has kept me from gaining back all of the weight is that I've been pretty good about exercising. Not as good as I'd like, but I manage to exercise at least a few times a week - and sometimes 6 days out of 7. I have to exercise first thing in the morning, BEFORE I get on the PC, or it ends up being 11 a.m. and I'm still sitting in front of the PC!

    Don't give up. Just get back up and continue on again. It's taken me almost 9 months to lose 50 pounds on SBD. Sometimes I get so discouraged because I thought I'd be there by now. So, instead of quitting, I work harder. I so can't wait til goal that I feel like I can't quit because I'm to close.

    Try to look at it in a different way.

    Go to the docs and have your blood tested, pressure done that sort of thing. When I wasn't lossing after really watching it turns out it was due to my thyroid.

    Remember it's not all about the scale. Are you healthy?

    Try to walk with a friend to start out again, or get back to the gym for even 20 min. Then it will start coming back to you and you'll get on track again.

    I kind of took the summer off as well helen. I just decided that I really and truly NEED to lose this weight this time. I joined Curves because so many people I know have done well there. But it was also to jump start me, force me to exercise more regularly.....

    So set some goals for yourself that you can measure daily ( no cheating 25/31 days this month, exercise 3 times a week or 12 times this month, etc), do something to inspire yourself to really get moving (exercise with a friend, join a gym,etc) and put your mind to it!:Pinkbounc :teeth:

    Hi Helen!

    I wanted to give you some encouragement but don't know what to add that hasn't already been said.

    I think joining a challenge might help you. I know the challenges help keep me accountable. The 1000 minutes of exercise challenge for October might be a good place to start. How about shooting for 500 or 750 minutes for the month? You would only need to do 20 minutes per day starting tomorrow to reach 520 minutes for the month.

    I find that South Beach combined with a cardio and weights program has helped transform my body dramatically. I'm not one of those people that can cycle or walk. I have to have the strength training and build muscle.

    Also, with South Beach, I find that I have to vary my menu a bit and try different things to keep it interesting. I still have about 50 pounds to get to goal (okay 53.5 pounds) but it's coming off slowly now. I was losing 2 or 3 pounds per week and now I'm fortunate to lose 4 pounds in a month but I know the inches are flying off. As you pick back up the exercise, don't forget to measure, you might just be pleasantly surprised.
