I need some costume help!!

My DD's school is calling it a Cultural Parade. It can be either a storybook character or someone from another culture. We can wear store bought costumes so DD is going to be Mulan.

Excuse my bluntness. I hope that didn't sound bad. I am a mom of three teenage kids and have gotten hardened to those kind of requests. I have been there.

What I find funny is that it is not the kids who are having to be creative but the parents! Now that mine are in their early to mid teens, they are finally getting creative on their own.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking! My kids are 5 and 8! Of course they are going to need to make something for them.
