I have to cancel my December trip.

We leave in 12 days for our first dvc stay, so that is something to look forward to, but it still makes me sad that I won't be there for my birthday this year.

It was a group trip, and when my friend decided she couldn't afford it, we realized that we couldn't either since our annual passes expire in September.
I know we are doing the right thing by canceling but I'm still really upset.

Thanks! I tried to whine to my friends about it but they don't get it. They don't understand how I could go every year, let alone more than once a year. I figured someone around here would understand my frustration and sadness lol

So let me see if I understand this...you are about to leave for WDW in less than 2 weeks, and you are concerned about a trip scheduled nine months from now?!?

Um...I would suggest shortening the focus to the supertabulous fantastic trip you are about to take, ESPECIALLY since this is your FIRST STAY as a DVC members!!!

Now, when you are on your last day, you can start the worry...if you are still in that mood, but I'll bet you'll want to wait until you are home to fret. As to that, you can simply book a trip for next year on your birthday!

Now get out there have some FUN for the Gipper!

Haha. I know you're totally right. I am SUPER excited about this trip. Not only is it our first trip as dvc members but it's also our anniversary. I know it will be fabulous.

I'm also completely insane because I just called to cancel and while I was on the phone with a WONDERFUL CM who had the patience of a saint to help answer all of my questions, I booked a Savanah view studio at AKV for September. My new plan is to try and convince hubby that since he said we could go in December but I was the one to say no, that going in September is a good idea.

We will still have our annual passes, and it was the exact amount of banked points we need to use... Saving around $800 on park passes alone makes this seem like a good idea right now. Fingers crossed that hubby agrees!

I was going to casually suggest to alleviate your sad feelings over the december trip that you just peek into the idea of doing something in sept before your passes expire...

YAY YOU!!!

I am SURE that once hubby realizes how you went from being all responsible and sad over cancelling dec, and then completely resourceful and ecstatic over switiching gears as you did, he cant say no!!

OH...and have a blast during your 1st DVC visit...You are going to LOVE it!! And whatever happens with this next trip, just concentrate on the joys of this one coming up.

I am glad that you were able to book Sept and hope that you will be able to go. It is too bad about Dec but at least you found a way to squeak out one more trip from those passes.
