I need info on Lost Bar

It is very sad the changes they are making, most especially losing the balconies, the Lost Bar, the Neverland pool, and Hookes Pointe. I hope the new bar and restaurant are as nice and as good. The pool sounds like it will be horrendous. (IMHO) We really like the lounge at Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel as well, they mix some amazing drinks in there too, and it's so nice to escape in there in the hot afternoon, it's cool, dim and relaxed! here's a couple of picks taken in there, they make awesome food too by the way! had the best ahi tuna sandwhich I've ever eaten...

Nooooooo! The Lost Bar is closing?!?!? :sad1: I also loved the casual atmosphere and the bartenders there are great. It's such a nice place to go get a drink and relax.

Please tell me that you just happen to wear the same shirt twice..and not drink those drinks In the same sitting? :lmao: Not that it matters!! Lol..the green one looks yummy.. do you remember what it was? The blue one is cool too…now witch place is that?

:lmao: I think that would be 2 drinks in one sitting... :thumbsup2 they make them very tasty there!! lol... the blue one is a glowtini, the green one a sunken treasure. That's inside the lounge at Steakhouse 55 which is in the same area as Goofy's kitchen which is in the Disneyland Hotel and is the other great lounge/bar to have some nice drinks at while the Lost Bar is being revamped into the Tahitian Terrace! :thumbsup2 It looks fancy, but is very relaxed and the bartender was super! so much fun... Just like the Lost Bar...only inside!
But...that is my favorite top so I probably did wear it on more than one occasion!!

I don't visit the Disneyland board very much since I'm not planning a trip there right now, but this makes me sad.

We loved being able to sit and have a few drinks while the kids drove the boats.:guilty:

I guess if, for some great reason, we DO make it to DL to see the HMH this year, we'll have to stay at GCH and not DLH.:guilty:

I was disappointed when they closed the old lagoon to put in the Never Land Pool, but thought 'okay, this could be a great thing, they have all this room, they can put in a Stormalong Bay type pool'. What a flop the Never Land Pool was compared to even the pools at moderate resorts at WDW.

Then they took out the beaches at the adult pools, no more sand volleyball.

I was really sorry to see Hook's Point go, it was one of my favorite restaurants in the whole resort. I used to love Granville's too, a tribute to the great Bonita Granville (Wrather) who developed the hotel with husband Jack.

And now they are pulling out the waterfall.... I hope the new pool and restaurants live up to the hype of the Disney website, but....

How was it? Were there lots of people there saying goodbye?

My mom and I went here on our last trip for a snack. We were washing clothes at the DLH and needed a place to sit and relax while waiting on our clothes. It was late at night and we just got food and some non-alcoholic drinks.

well lost bar and hooks point and wine cellar are now CLOSED!..they are no more!
