Was just at my Uncle's funeral this week. On the memory board at the funeral home happend to be a picture of my dad (Uncle's BIL) and my Uncle when they were young. They let me have it!

It's black and white with an almost sephia look to it. It's a 5x7. I would like to display it in some way. Any ideas? It's really special to me!

One thing I would do soon is get a copy/copies of it- Stores that have a digital center with a scanner work really well and are inexpensive- We've done this with most of our old pictures that are "one of a kinds" just in case something were to happen to one of them-

One thing I like with older pictures is just simply frame them with a nice mat- or if you have other things- Shadow box them with the picture

Thanks for the advice about scanning it. I just did it here at home. It's hard to believe it's made it this long. It has to be 40 or so years old! There is a bite mark out of the corner. Apparently a cat got ahold of it!lol

I like the shadow box idea.

Definitely make a copy of it.

You can make a layout with it and frame it. They sell 12x12 frames pretty readily available now. Or scrap within whatever frame size you want.

Depending on the style of your home, you could put it on a cuboard- Enlarge the photo, use a clear sealant to glue it to a canvas, stretch it over a would frame, and attach it to the hinges of the cuboard. I saw this in the Country Home magazine. It was so cute, but it wouldn't really work with most homes. In the magazine, they also put pictures on plates and hung them, and they put a picture on the face of a desktop storage unit. It's hard to explain, you kindof have to see the magazine to understand it. Maybe you could frame it in a simple black frame, and mat it with natural linnen fabric with a few buttons or ribbon for emelishment. You could also decoupage it onto a small vintage box/chest.

I've made some beautiful DVD's that will become priceless to you and your loved ones. They are set to music with background theme, etc.

All of my photos are film ( just recently got a digital ) but up until now all my precious memories have been film photos. I had this company digitize them for me ~ and they will send photos back when done. You can organize your albums, share them online and maybe find another photo gift item that would be special to put the photo on ..ie; a poster, or mug -
