I need help with the rules the Yahtzee. LOL

I need to know what the official rules are when getting Yahtzees. I know your first one you put 50 points in the Yahtzee spot. Then if you get another Yahtzee within that same game, you check off the little box towards the bottom. What happens after that? Was a bit of a controversy last night during game night LOL. But no matter what game we play, BIL always has these rules that I've never heard of. I know everyone plays games differently and everyone has different rules, but I'd like to get a take on what your thoughts are on this. Thanks

If you get a second Yahtzee, you check the box so you get an extra 100 points per box checked, PLUS you can put the total in one of the other boxes. i.e. if you got 5 sixes, you can put 30 in the six section. If you're on face book you can play "Yacht" which is almost the same.

Okay thanks. I have just never played that way. And since my BIL always has HIS way with HIS rules, I thought he was trying to put one over on me. LOL I never knew that when you get your second yahtzee, you check off the box AND put that score in the appropriate spot. Who knew??? LOL I always just played til the end and if we had a spot that was empty, we crossed it off. But this new way to me will get more points. Thanks!!!

yeah, I think they have you put it in the box as well, so that everyone finishes the game at the same time.
And I have a sister that likes to invent her own rules, so I'm ALWAYS double checking to make sure it's being done right. It sucks to come from such a competitive family LOL
