I need help with the 500 gift card.

We just bought two 160 point contracts. Our agent said we qualify for two 500 gift cards, well I have read a lot of posts that mention something about a Disney Visa card with rewards and that is the way the money is acquired. I don't have a Disney Visa card does this matter. Thanks!

When you buy the contracts, Disney will give you a $500 Visa gift card (or in your case, 2 cards for 2 contracts). You can use them for anything such as gas, groceries, whatever. Disney Visa (Chase Card Services) is offering 500 reward points for buying into Disney Vacation Club if you use your Disney Visa for the down payment. However, it says right on the announcement that you can't combine it with any other special offers. So, you can only get the $500 Visa card OR the 500 reward points if you have a Disney Visa, but you can't get both. We have a Disney Visa and believe me, I tried to talk them into it.
Oh, the $500 Visa gift card from Disney is for having a referral from another DVC member, and I think the member gets $200 Disney Dollars. That's the way it was explained to me anyway.
