I have been searching for an answer to my question & I can't seem to figure it out. If anyone can help me figure this out I would be grateful... if I purchase tickets through the YES Program does that count as my tix that I need to add the dining plan to my package? Or do I have to actually purchase an additional park tix per party member? Thank you!!!!

No, you have to purchase a 2 day base for everybody but you can save for future use.

The previous poster isn't quite correct...

If you are purchasing the dining plan, you must buy a minimum of a 1 day base ticket for each member of your party.

For the free dining promotion, a minimum of a 2 day base ticket purchase for each member of your party is required.

This is in addition to the YES tickets.

It is the Youth Education Series that Disney has. www.disneyyouth.com

They have group and individual classes for the kids. When you enroll in a class, there is an option to buy park tix for a reasonable amount. It is a really great deal if you have kids in the age range and classes are available during your stay. Each class is $26 I believe.

Check out the website. It is a great program. Unfortunately it isn't a good deal with free dining as you have to purchase a two day base tix minimum with the package. At least, it isn't a good value for me.

Thank you for your responses!

We are not doing free dining because for a family of 3 it's not as good a deal as getting a % off room discount. But, we do like to add the dining plan to our vacation because we love the sit down restaurants so much.

This would be our 1st year with the Yes program & DD is so excited about the class. But I think any savings with that will be eaten up by the fact that I have to buy the additional park tickets just to add the dining plan. Just trying to save some $-back to the disney math...:surfweb:

Thank You!!!!

One other option to throw at you - you could buy YES tickets for two of you, and then buy one annual pass. You could then book using an AP discount and add the dining plan to the room.

You'd have to check the math on this and see if it was feasible. When we went, the numbers were very, very close. We opted to skip the dining plan and pay out of pocket because the dining plan doesn't work for us very well. It depends what type of discount you have now, and what type of passholder discounts come out...

The kids REALLY loved the YES program, by the way.

I was looking into this as well. I was looking into buying the two day base tickets and saving them for another time and then doing the YES tickets but then i worry that I'd lose them or something so that wasn't a good option for us. :)

Thanks-I have to look at that again.

That would be me too..."Now where did I put those tickets?"...:upsidedow

I thought about this. It would only be an extra $265.20 w/ tax...now just to find that extra $.

Thank you everyone for your help. I was hoping that someone would just say, "Your YES tickets count & you can add the dining plan! Now go save some money & have Fun!!":rotfl:

We always get the free dining package so we've had to always buy the 2 day base but we've never had to pay for the dining plan.
sorry! Good to know though!!

The YES tickets are already discounted. To get free dining you have to pay the full undiscounted rate for the room and 2 day tickets. Counting the YES tickets would be the same as stacking 2 discounts.
