I need help with a FP+ problem from a pro. Confusing scenario

As long as you're staying on site, the 60 day rule would apply to the AP days.

Edited to add: Ah, but not if you're using a new MDE account. Hmm.

Can you book a split stay? Or are you getting special rates on the extra days?

It was so seemless to add on the extra hotel days with Disney tour company for dance. I never thought not buying the extra day tickets would cause such a mess

Yes. I think it's because the trip is separate and a month later than my firs trip. I think AP holders can only make FP+ at 30days....is this right? Seems wrong seeing that I am on site?!
remember you can't see the 60 days out until it is actually your day to make FP+ reservations (frustrating I know). So you can't tell if it is magically going to trigger that you are onsite (and an AP) or not.

I'm an AP holder - we stay onsite and make our FP+ at 60 days - every time no problems For the length of our trip. We've never had trips as close together as yours are - I suspect everything will turn out OK - the computer system will know you are AP and onsite and your window will open But I can't promise it because I didn't design the system

Robo is suggesting you make a separate MDE account and put the dance tickets there under 'nicknames' rather than your regular names (that your original MDE account is set up with). Then you don't have to worry about the whole AP vs dance ticket thing.

If you use your regular MDE account IT should be able to prioritize your AP for May and then your AP for the first part of the dance trip (then tell them to prioritize the Dance tickets) then your AP again. Sounds complicated but I have read of other people doing it. I think Robo's idea might be the easiest. Are you staying in the same room for your early arrival and late departure or are you staying elsewhere? That might be the complicating factor - IF you have one room / package confirmation for the dance event and you make a new MDE link that info in there (tickets and room) that's done. If you have another reservation number for your 'before' dance few days and after dance event days then you can link those reservation numbers to your original MDE account (with the AP) and all should be well. IF you only have one reservation number that would complicate things IMO

Yes. One stay. One room confirmation number....

I may be wrong, but since you'll have park admission (your APs) attached to your MDE account for June 23, won't you still have access to make FPs on your 60 day mark, even though the dance tickets don't start for a few days?

I thought FP just looked at whether you have tickets and a resort stay for that date.

That's what I thought too!! It would be so simple. I wouldn't even link the dance tickets. I guess that's not the case...

Alright!! All of you inspired me to call IT again. Because I do have an on site reservation the annual pass should kick in at 60 days for FP+! I think the first person I spoke to didn't realize the dance stay was on site. I should be good now! THANK YOU!!!

Okay good, haha! I thought I was super confused, but it didn't make sense to me. Glad it worked out!
