We in the middle of signing a contract for BLT. The contract cost for 160 points is 17,920. One of the incentives is stated at the top of the paper as "Current incentive offer" and then underneath it the rep has highlighted it and it states $5.00 per vacation point... I guess like they're giving us a $5 break on each point:confused: Then underneathe that it states $800. However, DH and I have looked all over the contract and cannot find anywhere were the $800 was substracted....our down payment is still $1792:confused: Can someone explain this to me? DH and are so confused:headache::) TIA! April

I don't believe you will see it subtracted. IIRC in our paperwork the money was in the form of a Disney gift card. There should be a page you sign to agree to apply it to the purchase price.

Ok, we bought BLT last week and the down payment was made on the full price per point - the incentive was taken off the remaining balance.

In your case, 160 points with a $5 incentive equates to an $800 discount, so that is where the $800 comes from on the sheet your guide gave you. But you will still be paying $1792 as your down payment. Then, the $800 will be taken off the remaining balance of $14,208.

I hope this makes sense! Congratulations on your purchase. It's so exciting! :cloud9:

Hey! Yes, we looked on our contract and it's not subtracted anywhere. It's still showing our balance as $15,668:confused:. I'm waiting on our rep to call us back. Thanks so much for your help.:cloud9: Yes, I can't remember being this excited since I was a kid! LOL!:lmao::yay::cool1: So HAPPY!:woohoo:

Well, at least you were smart enough to look things over and make sure they were right instead of taking it for granted. It must have been an oversight on their part, but could've cost you guys $800!

We just finished signing our paperwork for BLT today! :cool1:

The HUD statement does not show the 800$ - we called to ask and they explained to us that this was intentional.

The total balance due page should have reflected it though! Good Luck!
