I need some advice. I'm looking to do a hybrid vacation for my honeymoon.
We want to do a week in Disney. 2 or 3 days at Universal and then stay by the beach in Florida for a few days after. Our wedding isn't until late June 2014 but we want to try to figure out a price and figure out where to stay. Anyone have any advice on how to do this efficiently ? Know any good places to? At what point should we rent a car? Any tips would be helpful. I am looking to stay at a value or moderate resort in Disney but don't know what else we should do.

onsite at Disney
Pop - value
or
POR or POFQ - moderates

might go offsite - there are some houses/condo for rent

now for Universal - would probably do a Universal on site hotel - but just need one night - one night gives you access to their FOIL (first in line) for 2 days.

the beaches - do you prefer the Atlantic or Gulf.

love the gulf myself - but some prefer the Atlantic - because it is an ocean. and close to WDW it can be kind of scary.

I agree with everything Spiceycat said. Rent the car at the end when you are headed for the beach. I prefer the Gulf beaches, Clearwater if you like it busier and more party atmosphere and Indian Rocks Beach if you want more low key but not quite as nice of a beach. We stayed up on the north end of Clearwater Beach last summer and it was gorgeous water, not too crowded, and still easily walkable down to the pier for some nightlife.

Thanks for the info.
I don't really know much about Universal so that is very helpful to know.
For the Beach it doesn't really matter as long as it is fairly nice. I really don't have a preference.

Thanks for the info on the Beaches :) what is the best/ Cheapest way to get from Disney to Universal without renting a car? Is there any car rental places around Disney/ Universal?

disney has several - over at swan and dolphin is almo

think at the Hilton DD (not BC) is a budget

most of the hotels is DD have a car rental

go to the transportation board to ask about car rental and where you will find the best bargins

if you are flying they can help with that also
