Ok Ill give a little back ground. DW and I go to DW 5-7 times a year. We take DM 2-3 times a year. We have taken are TRIPLET neices 2 years ago(when they where still free). And there mother.

Well now they want to all go and include more. 3 days 2 nights in FEB 2005

Heres the list so far of how many are going.

DW
I
DM
TRIPLETS
TRIP MOM
TRIP GRAND MOM
TRIP MOM SISTER
TRIP SISTER 1 KID

I have looked at the Magical Gathering, But wow are we really going to have to spend that much?

DW, I, DM all have AP So that is taken care of.

We are thinking 4 rooms probably at Value Resort hopefully $49/n

Not sure weather to buy everyone FL seasonal passes(and hope they can go back again) or see if we can find 3 day Park hopper passes(HELP ON THIS) or buy Single day passes.

FL/SP Single Day
Adults=$600 $492
Kids=$680 $525

How is this looking ?? am I way off?? First time booking for this many. Its pretty easy booking for 2 or 3 but 10... Im starting to sweat over here.

TY fellow DIS'ers

Doug

P.S. I tried in the family board and didn't get any help so I moved it here :teeth:

We are a group of ten leaving in just a few days! The Magical Gathering Plan did nothing for us. It much more economical to book everything seperate and on our own.

Even the "Specials" that they have for "Magical Gatherings" are more expensive. Example, they do have a Character Breakfast for Magical Gatherings but it was about $5?? more per person than Chef Mickey's, so we are doing Chef Mickeys!

Hope this helps! Ask more questions as I will be on this board a lot until we leave.

If you all are from Florida and go that often, by all means...buy an annual Pass! :bounce: If you are going in February....make your reservations for BEFORE February 16th....that would still be VALUE season...at the $49.00 plus tax per room per night IF one of you has an Annual Pass. One person is alllowed up to three rooms using his or her Annual Pass.

I am taking my group...which also happens to a group of 10....and also in February....three children, one pre-teen, and six adults...I have an Annual Pass (as do two others)...We are staying at Pop Century....arriving February 15th...staying six nights....three rooms....
Total rooms with tax $984.00. :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I also keep watching the boards for Magical Gathering reviews...I haven't decided yet...not enough reviews so far...I do know from experience...that with ten people....and going into President's Weekend....Dinner reservations better be made...I am waiting for November 18th...my 90 day period...to make the decisions...::yes::

DW, I , DM all go oftern

As for the others I dont think they would go again for another year. So thats why im debating about the Seasonal passes.

We are shooting for the weekend of 2/11-13

I agree about the Magical Gatherings. If I was loaded or they where maybe no problem but where on a budget and it just doesn't seem economical going that route.

Disney Daughter can you tell me what all is in that $984 amount?

Do you already have reservations for those dates?

TY SO MUCH

Doug

I think the FL resident seasonal pass is the way to go........this way you wouldn't be spending as much as an annual pass and could plan another trip before the year is over. Also a day trip now and then throughout the year, My renewal rate was 185.00 that is just 3 visits! so I am sure they would be able to get their moneys worth and they are still able to park hop something you can't do with a day ticket. With you having the annual passes you get free parking, and also with the seasonal passes you can also book rooms at passholder rates.

The $984.00 is the complete total I reserved and paid for three rooms...ten people...six nights at the Pop Century for the dates..arriving Feb. 15th and leaving Feb. 21st. I have an Annual Pass...which allowed me the discount...the 15th is still considered "Value Season"....so..since I "started" with the "Value" Season...I was allowed to continue all the way through with that price. :Pinkbounc I kept checking Mousesavers.com to see when the discounted prices...regular and for those who had Annual Passes came out.....:bounce:

I too was very disappointed with the Magical Gatherings program. I am an event planner but profession and use Disney as my escape. Now I plan special events there for my family and others. If you are interested, just email or PM me.

Happy travels
