We will be arriving late on a Friday. I'm looking for a hotel to stay in the night we arrive before we go to the Yacht Club on Saturday morning. Can anyone recommend something that is decent, clean, reasonably priced, and close to Disney property?

You can stay at the All Star Movies. This is a great, yet inexpensive place to stay. They can transfer your luggage to the YC for you the next morning, so you can head straight to a park and check into the resort later in the day.

if you are flying - get something close to the airport - most of the airport hotels have a shuttle. So you can still use DME the next morning. Go with priceline.

the all stars or pop is a good suggestion. Pop is alot closer.

It is not cheap but definitely close - Gaylord
http://www.gaylordhotels.com/gaylordpalms/ - sometimes you can get it on priceline.

otherwise the hotels around US 192 -Kissimmee - Holiday inn (does not score high on being clean), Best Western Lakeside, Quality Inn.
