I need help... Buying at VB?

Hi ALL,

We own 300pts at VWL and 200pts at OKW - so for us the 11month window is covered to book at a DVC/WDW resort - that said - We feel the need to have 150-200 more points - We would stay at VB and don't need the 11month window for WDW - and out of my 5 DVC trips(taken or pending) only 2 have been booked at the 11month window (DEC 02 and DEC 03 - we also at the 7month window switched from VWL to BCV) - We got OKW at less than 2wks out and a studio at BWV at less than 3months out. Finally the ? - To save some money wouldn't it make sense to buy at VB? Please - any advice - opinions - options are greatly appreciated!

If you like VB, by all means consider buying there. But also keep in mind that the dues are highest at VB and will eventually eat away the savings you get upfront.

It is what I just did. Reached the same conclusiion as you. Have BWV for 11 month window and did extra add on HH. Cheaper dues and bigger buy back.

If you plan on going to VB at least every other year, it would make sense to buy there, to get the 11 month window.Especially if you want to stay at VB during busy times, or want the Beach Cottage.

We had 150 VB points(just added 100) and never had any problem using them at the 7th month point at OKW.

I'm not sure what money your talking about saving, are you thinking of the MB program and $15 point buy back? If you'd like to save money, another option is to check out resales from our site sponsor the timeshare store and see where you can make the best deal for the 150 points your seeking.

If you'd like to save money, another option is to check out resales from our site sponsor the timeshare store and see where you can make the best deal for the 150 points your seeking. There are VB points as resales. Shontell is another broker who can help. You might already be refering to this, sorry if this is not new info.

Thought about resale, the downside is that financing is not as easy!
