I need guidance from my WISH friends

((((HUGS)))) Jody,

I wish I could say something to make it all better. You are such a shinning light here at WISH.

I definately can say that I agree with upping the amount you eat. I am a firm believer of if you eat to little you will gain or not loose.

I am also thinking that you might want to try tweaking the program you are on, to see if you can get it to move. If not, it may be that you may have to try WW or another program. Every program doesn't work for every person. It may be that your body needs another approach. The thing I like about WW's, is it gives me a map to how much I should eat. I know when it's time to eat more or stop because I have eaten too little. I need that. You also can definately eat lower carbs on WW's. It may be the way to go for you. With WW"s you can eat anything, so if you want to eat low carb.........go for it.

I am glad you came to us for advise, and didn't give up.

Melanie

I can totally understand how frustrated you are. But, think about it! Now, you are not alone, now you have unlimited support anytime of day or night right here. Everybody has failures on the road but there are successes too. No matter how small they are, they are still success and they far outweigh the setbacks. You can do this, we will all hold you up!

I saw that someone else posted about actually needed *more* calories or fat or whatever. That seems to be true for me (on Atkins), perhaps you just need to play with it a bit and see how everything affects you. I am fairly new on Atkins and I'm still at the point that I'm logging every food and weighing every day to see what works and doesn't work for me. It's very slow going I lost 15 pounds almost immediately and it's taken me almost 2 months to lose another 5. Yes it's depressing but I can always count on the WISHers to pick me up, kick me around, dust me off and set me back on the road.

Many many blessings to you, let's walk the road to Onederland together!

Jody i think you are doing the right thing coming up with something that will work for you and your lifestyle. If there is anyway try to drink ALL your water BEFORE you have your "real" drinks over the weekend. PLEASE will you try to do that for me? And as for your hinesight thoughts on your OLD ways i think you hit the nail on the head my friend. I totally agree with you and i totally support your moving ahead but the one thing YOU ADMITTED THIS NOW, You did'nt mention ANYTHING about increasing your water intake. Please consider this Jody I really give a lot of credit to this change (and i confided in your how bad i was pre new lifesytle change) if i can do it you can try won't you? And Jody if you need me you have my numbers i would love to talk to you again sometime. If you ever need anything you call. I wish you to have a safe weekend at the shore and come back rejuventated (sp) and ready to kick butt and prepared for your changes. Put some thinking into your "cooked" meals next week and remember if your food is bored you soon will be too! Make them dance on the plate and the palate and you will be dancing when you get on the scales. Have a great weekend.

Jody:

You hang in there. I know you are going to find something that works for you.

Your Onderland challenge has inspired me so much and you have helped me accomplish something that I have been trying to do for over 5 years and that is to get off the diet yo-yo.

I am cheering for you!

{{{HUGS}}} Jody,

You are a great inspiration to me. I've only been here a couple of weeks and you have welcomed and inspired me. You've already been given lots of great advice so I'll just add that you have my support.

Jody lots of good thoughts above, and the only thing that I can add is: WATER and FISH(not battered, either). Those two things really put me going in the right direction when I stall for any length of time. Well, that and exercise. I've heard recently that the old ½ hour a day will only help you maintain. If you want to lose it is an hour:eek:

Take care, sweetie. Look at all that you do, where you want to go. Whatever your decision (low-carb/WW/Atkins) support is here. (((((HUGS)))) We love you!

Hi, Jody--

Just wanted to let you know that you're in my thoughts and prayers as you find your way to success! The road is long, but you've come too far to ever give up--plus your WISH friends wouldn't let you even if you wanted to! It sounds like you've gotten some great insights into what might be "weighing" you down. It's good that you shared your feelings with everyone here--support is what it's all about!

I hope that you can join us in Doylestown for our PA WISH walk,
I'd love to meet you--

Erin

Don't give up on yourself Jody.......

We're not giving up on you!!!!

Each little victory will eventually add up to a HUGE victory!!!

Jody, as soon as you find the right plan for yourself, you do great. Sometimes we have to try several plans before we find the right one.

I've followed every plan known to man except South Beach. I've been dieting since I was 16. I was 53 before I realized that Atkins was right for me.

Find the right plan and you will reach goal, I promise. Just don't give up. Will you promise me that you won't give up?

I'm glad you are here on WISH. You keep us motivated and smiling everyday and I truly appreciate your motivational presence here.

Katholyn
