I need some advice...We have been to Ft. Wilderness 3X and we absolutely love it. We have a camper so we drive down and usually stay a week. This year we are bringing my Mom and she isn't able to do the 2 day drive and isn't keen on the idea of all of us being in the camper. We are thinking of staying in a cabin but they are also close to opening the All star suites too so we are thinking of that (they would be a little cheaper and have 2 full baths). We were going to stay at the Poly but the cost is just too much.

Do you think we should go with the cabin??? Would you recommend it? It would be me, DH(35), DD's, (9 & 11) and my Mom (early 60's).

I would appreciate any advice from any of you and what you have done when you weren't able to stay in your camper.

Thanks so much...

We have done the cabins. Let's just say if we don't camp that is the only other way our DS's will go. They love the atmosphere of the campground not hotels. You have the convenience of a full kitchen, so the option to cook a little is always there. I don't think you will be dissappointed.

I would say the cabins, mostly because of the location. Nothing beats being in the center of it all. My youngest DD stayed at ASM and hated to bus rides. The only draw back of the cabins is where would you put your mother to sleep. That murphy bed is NOT comfy. My 17 yo DGS hated it. :(

My dh said that the murphy bed was actually more comfortable than our bed, which may not be saying much, LOL, but that bed in the bedroom was lovely!

I loved the cabin that we had. It was spacious and decorated very nicely. THe dressers didn't have much room for clothing, but we hung a lot of stuff. Next time I will bring more hangers for our clothes.

Overall I liked the seperateness of the cabins. I liked the solitude.

Have a wonderful vacation, I thnk that you will no matter where you are staying. Lots of Pixie Dust! pixiedust:

We have stayed in the cabins several times. My mother slept on the murphy bed and she really liked it. My husband and I slept in the double and the kids on the bunks, and one on the couch. The full kitchen and deck are nice to have and something you will not get in the family suites.

I think the cabins are GREAT! They are for sure the best for your money and you cannot beat the quietness. I think you will all love them!!
