We might be able to help a little bit more, if we knew your travel dates. $1000 for 11 nights will be tough, but with some hard work you may be able to find it. When I have looked for pool homes, I found Lindfields to have some of the more reasonably priced homes. It is older and a little further down 192 than some of the other places, but for the extra room of a home and having a pool to yourselves it might be worth it. I would suggest looking through some listings on www.vrbo.com and see if anything works for you.

I was very nervous about renting from just some random person on the net. I lucked into this person and have rented from her for extended/off site visits.

You could also try Regal Palms Resort in Davenport. It is a little further commute, but nice place definitely within your budget.

I've rented several times there. Would recommend vacationrentals.com or cyberrentals.com to contact owners. Definitely cheaper to book with an owner than through the resort.
