Hello! We are heading to Disney World in January, and have the free dining plan. On our last vacation we used the QSDP, and we did two sit down meals out of pocket - Tusker House breakfast and CRT for lunch. Now I'm having fun planning all these ADRs for my character loving children, but I'm having a hard time coming up with another sit down meal for our last full day, which we'll spend in MK. Here's what I have so far:
Day 1 (Arrival/Epcot) - Dinner at Garden Grill
Day 2 (Magic Kingdom) - Breakfast at Crystal Palace
Day 3 (Animal Kingdom) - Breakfast at Tusker House
Day 4 (Hollywood Studios) - Dinner at 'Ohana
Day 5 (Epcot) - Dinner at Akershus
Day 6 (Magic Kingdom) - ?
Day 7 (Depart in AM)

As you can see, we are doing mostly character meals. I had been thinking that with all these heavy buffet/family style type meals, maybe we'd enjoy doing a sitdown at the Plaza, but I've read so/so reviews on it. I've also read the negative reviews of Tony's here, so I'm not sure we want to try that. Liberty Tree Tavern's menu just doesn't appeal to me, and I'm not sure I want to repeat Crystal Palace. So I've kind of painted myself into a corner.

We really enjoyed our counter service meals at MK, so another thought I had was to do two TS meals at some point earlier in the week and do all counter service for our last MK day. But I have no idea what else to try.

I'd love some advice and recommendations to fill out that last Table Service meal either at Magic Kingdom or on one of our other park days. We're staying at POFQ, if that helps at all.

Thank you! :)

How about 1900 Park Fare over at the Grand Floridian?

Mary Poppins is there for breakfast and Cindy, the Prince and the Step-family is there for dinner.

Since you'll be at MK, what about something along the monorail line? Kona Kafe at Poly or The Wave or Chef Mickey's (more characters) at the Contemporary, there's 1900 Park Fare at the GF. If nothing at MK is appealing to you, I'm sure you'll find something to please everyone along the monorail line.

We at at Tony's last year for dinner and we enjoyed the meal and atmosphere. This year we tried Ohana and it is a must do for us from now on. We also tried 1900 Park Fare for dinner. We loved the characters but we did not like the buffet at all. We will not go back. I also would love to try Kona Cafe. I have heard it has very good food/atmosphere.

I love LTT. It's my fav. It's like Thanksgiving so it is kinda heavy. Look @ the monorail Resorts they have fantastic options! We are trying O'hana for the 1st time @ the Poly, I could never get in but we r excited!

I really enjoy The Wave at the Contemporary. You can also walk to the MK from there. It is faster than the monorail.

Our 'Ohana dinner is actually the one I'm most excited about! I can't wait to try it out, and I'm hoping it can be timed well to see some of Wishes from the Poly.

I had been thinking about doing the 1900 Park Fare breakfast, but I was worried about getting over there from POFQ in the morning. I'll have to give another look at some of the menus at the Monorail resorts. Thanks for the ideas!

I would leave MK and hit one of the monorail resorts or even Wilderness Lodge. We have done that many times. Better food and it gives you a nice break from the park.

I would avoid Tony's at all cost. It was the most disgusting meal we've had at disney. I blame their nasty tomato/marinara sauce!

I personally LOVE LTT!! But if that doesnt appeal to you, why not try the monorail restaurants that others have recommended, such as whispering canyon/the wave/Kona/Ohana/GF cafe/1900 PF. Although since you already have a ton of character meals, i would book a regular TS restaurant, Its a nice change. 1900 PF has characters, and ohana has characters at breakfast only.

the monorail resort restaurants are very good especially 1900 park fare but if your looking to stay all day at mk for your last day then tonys or Ltt is the way to go

Another big vote here for Kona or Ohana. Since you're travelling in Jan, the park hours may be shorter anyway. You could go to the Poly for a later dinner when you are finished for the day. Or if it's a late night at MK, then a break away from the park for dinner (and to warm up?) might be nice.

We are heading over to WCC at WL for a dinner one of our MK days. However, we tried Tony's spur of the moment last year and were very pleasantly surprised. And, we love the Plaza and do it almost every trip; it's a little lighter than some of the other choices. LTT was fun, but it is heavy.

Personally, I loved Plaza. It gets much better reviews than Tony's. We went and it was quiet and relaxing, food was good but casual. Desserts were great-- mostly ice cream sundaes, but my daughter got the milk and cookies and the milk came out in the cutest little teacup.

Plaza is now on our favorite restaurants list, and we will definitely go again.

Good luck!

1900 Park Fare was alot of fun-I liked the food at breakfast much better than dinner. But the step mother/sisters at dinner are a must see-imo. So much fun!! You can take the boat over from MK. Or I would go with Kona for dinner-trying bfast on our next trip-but paying oop. Not worth the dp.

Whispering Canyon at WL would be fun for the kids. If you want another character meal, you could try Chef Mickey's at CR. Kona is good at the Poly (I've never been to 'Ohana). Also, DD and I had a fabulous meal at GF Cafe in April. It was so good that we've made an ADR there for our Nov trip. I can't wait to eat there again.

My recommendations would be something on the Monorail route....

Chef Mickeys - Contemporary
1900 Park Fare - Grand Floridian
O'Hana - Poly

We like all of them and have always had great service and good food. Of the 3, I would lean towards Chef Mickeys though

1900 Park Fare at GF for dinner was great! I enjoyed the food and the characters were very entertaining.
