I need a Transportation Plan; BC-->WL-->MK(Wishes)-->BC

I'm working on the details of our upcoming trip and needed a little advice about getting from here to there, and there, and back.

On Sun. 2/20 (Pres. Weekend) we have a dinner PS for Whispering Canyon for 5:00 and would like to see Spectro and Wishes afterward (9&10pm). What is the best way to go about this?? We will be checking into the Beach Club Villas that afternoon and it is possible the room may not be ready until 4pm so the time may be tight. Also, we will have a rental car. I'm a little concerned about leaving via monorail after wishes. Last trip that was a real bear!

Any suggestions?

a) Bus to MK, Boat to WL, Dinner, Boat to MK, Wishes, Bus to BC
b) Car to TTC, Bus to WL?, Dinner, Boat to MK, Wishes, Mono to TCC, Car to BC
c) Car to WL, Dinner, Boat to MK, Wishes, Boat to WL, Car to BC

I'm not sure if c is even allowed....and I wouldn't want to displace any resort guests. Would it be allowed (or overlooked) if we valet parked?

If you get early check-in at BCV than I'd go with Plan A so you don't worry about driving. If your check-in is at 4pm ( a distinct possibility at BCV), than I'd go with:
Car to WL- they should give you a temporary parking pass for your dinner, just give the guard your name and PS#.
Dinner, Car to TTC(parking here is free for resort guests), Boat or Mono to MK, Wishes, Boat or Mono to TTC. Car to BCV.

I wouldn't mess around with a car anywhere near MK. I'd recommend the all Disney Transport route (a). You can certainly park at WL for your PS, but I do not think you will be able to remain all the way thru the end of the day; and if you are going to have to move the car to the MK lot anyway, it would just be easier to do the Disney Transport thing. MK parking is sooooooo far from anything; you park your car, then take a tram to TTC then a monorail or boat to get ot MK (3 steps), then the opposite on the return trip. With the alll Disney option, you have just 4 steps for you entire evening (bus to boat to dinner, boat to MK, bus back to BCV); the other options are all a minimum of 6 steps.

Thanks guys! I sounds like we should definately leave the car at the BCV. Our last trip (OK, our only trip!) we had some good experiences driving to MK (on EMH and for an early PS) that may have clouded my judgement. However, leaving after Spectro and wishes via monorail to the car was one of the two worst moments of our trip. I want to try to bus this time.

I was hoping that someone would give me the OK to do the valet park idea. I read the other thread so knew it was a no-no at the CR, but thought maybeee at WL........? If we are running out of time we could get a taxi. Are there always some available at the resorts?

There are normally taxis waiting at all the Disney resorts (main entrance). The CM at the podium will direct you to one. If for some reason a taxi is not available the CM will call for one and it should come in just a few minutes.

I completely agree with the posters who said option (a). You don't need to drive anywhere in the MK resort area.

option a will take you at least an hour to get to wl...substitute your first two steps with a taxi to wl...and then continue with option a...the peace of mind you get from it will more than make up for the couple of bucks you spend on a taxi. Nothing worse than looking at your watch as you are sitting at the MK waiting for your boat. stressful..
