I need a pep talk!!!

Happy Memorial Day everyone!! I am at work today :sad1: while my family is at home enjoying the day off! Oh well, I will survive! But the real reason for my post is ...I am in week 7 of WW, lost almost 12 lbs so far. I have been doing pretty well (mentally) but this weekend I really started feeling kind of *sad* :guilty: about the food I can't eat. I've been looking longingly at french fries, burgers, brownies...etc... I guess I need to go to a meeting!! I haven't been totally depriving myself though - I do have my treats and I actually had a turkey burger yesterday which was delicious! But the thoughts of pizza and other goodies are haunting me. Give me strength!!!! Someone please, give me some words of inspiration!! I really need it today..
 
Andrea--think about the scale. How good was it to see 12 pounds gone? What sacrifice went into that? How could a greasy burger or a slice of pizza possibly compare to that? How would it compare if you get on the scale tomorrow and your weight is up? Besides, the treats we splurge on are rarely as tasty as we envision. So, the food will disappoint, and you may get the scale going in the wrong direction.

Now, can you fill your mind with something else?

I read on another thread the other day that if it's fried it's NOT food. So for-ged-about-it.

It is not easy, but you are on your way to a healthier you. Don't go back there.

Be strong. You want this.

Andrea, KEEP GOING!! You are doing a great job! I have been on WW for 12 weeks now, and have lost just over 8 pounds. I only have about 3 pounds to go, but it is a challenge!! I try to watch what I eat pretty well, but there are certain times that I get frustrated too(like tonight. Our neighborhood had a block party!!! I just took small portions of the things I wanted). I am cheering you on!!! You can do it!!!!
