I need a New Mattress

Get a Simmons. They make the Heavenly Beds for Sheraton hotel chain (Dolphin/ Swan). When we went in April, I told my DH that would be my next bed. We have had a waterbed our whole 25 year married life.
Waterbed sprung a leak just after we got home ! Simmons it is and I LOVE it. Much more comfy than our old waterbed. Has a good warranty too.
I didn't get a Heavenly Bed (because it had to be ordered and the wait was 6-8 weeks) but got a pillow top beautyrest with high coil count to be just about like the Heavenly Bed.
Good luck. we got ours on sale so that was wonderful.

I've had my new mattress set for 4 nights. It is a Simmons plush because I wanted a softer feel. The best way is to try different ones to see what feels good to you. The strange part is the height. Trying to get used to that. Right now I am using a small stepstool to climb in! At least I won't have to worry about breaking down the edges, as I can't sit there to put on my shoes any more!

This is so funny DH and I are in the middle of deciding what mattress to get. We too had a water bed but DH's back is giving out so he finally is agreeing to get a regular mattress. Glad we are not the only ones!

DH & I are searching for a mattress for DD today, apparently the one she has (which is quite soft) is giving her a back ache... We're going to Sears in a few hours, they have 50% off bunches of their mattresses & if you have Friday's paper, they had a coupon in their insert for an additional 10% off, good today only... I'll let you know what we find!

I second going to try out a mattress prior to buying, we bought one online without trying it & it hurt my back! We would up putting a 3" memory foam mattress topper over it, which, is like HEAVEN IMHO.... but, for DD, DH doesn't think we should give her a memory foam topper I don't know about that one, but I'll let you know what we find at Sears!
