I Need A Louisville Park & Fly Recommendation...

Hi~

We're flying Southwest out of Louisville for our Disney trip and I don't really know much about Louisville. I was hoping my DIS friends could recommend a place close to the airport to spend the night before our flight and to leave the car while we're gone. A safe place to leave the car is important!! Love my VW Beetle!!

There is a Crowne Plaza right across the street from the airport and the Four Points by Sheraton on Crittenden Drive is very nearby. I'm not sure about rates. The Louisville airport is small and easy to navigate and has long term surface parking for $9/day so if you truly don't need the "Stay" part of the reservation you might just consider paying to park at the airport.

The only time any of this would be difficult would be the first weekend in May, which is the Kentucky Derby. Most hotels have a three-night minimum and even the Four Points can charge $350/night on Derby weekend.

I fly out of louisville all the time and I will tell you there is a hampton inn and a spring hill suites right near the airport by ky kingdom. They have a great shuttle New looking, clean, and friendly driver. I waited about 1 minute and the shuttle showed up and this was at 5 am and he said I'm the 30th passenger of the day.
The parking lot is well lit and secure and I had no problem parking there for 7 days. The hotel even offers a park only rate if you don't need a hotel room. If you need anything let me know. Southwest will be flying out on Concourse B you will walk past US airways gates and if you are in need of a meal in the airport there is a starbucks past security at the split off to concourse A to Concourse B or there is a bar past gate B4 with a pizza hut menu and there is a quiznos sub shop. Have Fun!

We used the Crowne last year and were very happy with them. Our flight left at 6am, we arrived there at 4:30am or so checked in at the front desk and they told us where to park. By the time we parked and walked back the shuttle was waiting to take us to the airport. On returning they were quick to come pick us up once we called and even helped with our luggage. We would gladly use them again. Our rate was around $5 a day, less than what the previous poster had listed. I'll gladly give you the link to whom we booked through if you'd like to PM me.

What are the best deals for flying out of Louisville? Not thinking that we will be able to park at the hotels, since we will be flying back in on derby weekend...but I am curious who you all get great deals for airfare from.
