I need a hug and prayers for my Mom--update

My Mom had to go to Pittsburgh today because her retina detached in her right eye. My Dad e-mail me about it since we did not hear our phone. Her left eye was detached last fall and she had successful surgery. Well at least now they knew the procedures and doctors. Now, my Dad need to stay healthy--because two weeks after my Mom's other eye problems, he had stones in his liver causing him poor health through the holidays. She is going to have surgery at noon tomorrow so if you can--keep them in mind in your prayers. Thanks.

Mom's surgery went better than expected-they got it in the early stages. She hopes to be web surf quickly. They are disappointed in having to change plans after getting good check-ups last month. Thanks for the prayers and hugs.

Thanks for quick replies---my Dad had just been to Pittsburgh a couple of weeks ago and had a good follow-up. My parents are going to reduce their activities for at least two months---to prevent more damage. I am calling them soon---at least they got a cell phone now. They are staying a hotel---they live about two hours east of Pittsburgh. We kinda knew that this would happen. She had noticeable cut down on her web surfing---they have DSL and seem like that they are on there contestantly. I guess that this year is going be limited on St. Patrick's Day treats.

Hope everything works out OK for your mom. That surgery requires a long recovery--my sister had it and had to lie flat on her back for weeks.

I just got off the phone with my folks. They are in good spirits. Mom says thanks for the prayers. I am mixed up on which eye is bad---she had surgeries since 2001 for catracts and other eye problems. She is having the same procedure done like last fall---so she will mobile---but she does not know when she will be allow to read and web surf. She has to ask on her follow-up visit. She wants to see the DIS Boards when she visits me sometime this year. They had to cancel seeing my sister and where she wants to get hitched. I will update tomorrow.
