.......and no, I don't want to sit with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser doing all my tile.:lmao: Could anyone suggest a grout cleaner for large areas? Maybe something really caustic so I don't have to spend a week scrubbing. :lmao:

We have ceramic counter tops in the kitchen and every so often I clean the grout part with Soft Scrub with bleach gel. It works GREAT!! I probably use way too much when I do it but I squeeze the cleaner over every grout line and let it sit for like 45 minutes then scrub with a wet scrub brush and sit for a little while longer...it takes a while to get the residue off but the grout is pure white after.

Bleach. Sounds too simple, doesn't it? :)
LOL.... I've actually thought of dumping a whole bottle of bleach on my kitchen floor and leaving it for 10 minutes.:lmao: My kitchen is 10' X 19' do you think one bottle is enough or should I dump on two?:rolleyes1 Oh how I admire Snow White. She cleaned the dwarfs' cottage in no time flat. I only have 3 little dwarfs and one large one and I just can't keep up.:lmao:

I have one of those orange glo mops with the removable pads. I use the Clorox everyday spray on the floor and just clean it that way.

Keep in mind when I started this my feeling was " if I destroy this hideous vinyl dh will HAVE to agree to new floors!" no such luck this stuff works great! *sigh*

So you might want to try that.

:confused3

I think I'd rather vinyl....LOL. It was MUCH easier to clean that this grout of mine. Oh, thanks for the tip!

You could try Finazzle grout cleaner. It works pretty well. I've also gone the Mr. Clean Magic eraser route as well. It works but kills your knees.

I use a grout cleaner that was recommended by others here on the board. It's called ZEP, and I got it at Home Depot. It is fantastic.

I think I'm seriously about do dump bleach on my floor. Seriously. *going to do it now*:lmao:

I have tried the bleach pens on the grout in my shower but it really hasn't helped much, this place was a rental for years before we got it so it wasn't really cleaned. NOTHING works on wall grout. Nothing stays in place long enough to bleach it, it just runs down the wall. If you have a suggestion I'd love to hear it. :confused3

Let me know if that works for ya.

If it destroys it that will be my next approach! :rotfl:
Okay, my floor is soaking wet. Now, I'm waiting 10 minutes. Definatly wear your Crocs when you try this.:lmao: They prevent slippage...LOL.

I had to edit this to add: LEAVE THE BACKDOOR OPEN TOO. ;-)

you do know that you will now have the "crazy bleach lady" label from all your neighbours right?

Is this area a counter or shower?
I have to say I just got one of those Scrubbing Bubbles automatic shower cleaners from BZZ but I had one for about 3 months already.
I have a terrible bathroom. Black mold grows on the grout as fast as I can clean it. My tub is a jacuzzi tub and the jets are always dirty with pink mold. I also live with 4 men and let's face it, men are pigs in the shower and everywhere.
I put one of the scrubbing bubbles automatic shower cleaners in the tub and I pushed the button once a day after I took my shower like the instructions told me. I started with a dirty tub.
In less than a week my bathtub and grout were shiny white. It was amazing. And the jets are clean now.
The only problem is that it doesn't reach across the entire tub so one side of the tub got clean and the other was still dirty. So I put a hook on the other side of the tub and hung the cleaner on the other end of the tub. I switch the cleaner every day.
Now I have two of them so I will just push both once a day.
I would definately recommend those, they work beautifully. And if you know a BZZ agent you can get a coupon for $5 off from them. I already gave all mine away. Peggie

What is BZZ? No, the grout problem is my kitchen floor. Everyone plus the dog goes in and out all day. That shower cleaner sounds like great, though. Thanks for the recommendation! I'd like to try that in my shower. Does it help with moldy silicone? My shower is a glowing white except for the silicone on the floor of the shower. As far as the jets, I put bleach (again with the bleach, huh?:lmao:) in the tub and run the jets for half an hour. It works great.

If and when you get it clean..GET A GROUT SEALER!!!!! I didn't and after scrubbing and all that hard work... its back! :( Do yourself a favor and seal it when its clean!!!!!!!

Let us know if the bleach worked.

That's the plan. So far, I think my floor is a little more white but, it stinks of bleach.:crazy2:
