We are traveling with our 11 month son, my parents, and my MIL. DH and I are experienced DISers and have eaten at many places. My parents are occasional Disney travelers and have eaten at park restaurants, but never at the resorts since they stay at SoG. My MIL has never been. We are staying at Kidani and have park hoppers.

Right now, my choices are:

Check-in day: Lunch at Sanaa, CS Dinner
Epcot day: Biergarten lunch, CS/F&W dinner
MK day: 8:05 Crystal Palace breakfast, Split Jiko dinner (3 go, then 2 go...no baby)
DHS day: 50's Prime Time lunch, CS/F&W dinner
AK day: 8:00 Tusker House breakfast, 5:00 California Grill dinner
Open day: CS lunch, 5:00 Boma dinner
Check out day: CS meals

I'm questioning the Boma dinner...thinking maybe our last night we should do something more special? We like Boma, but is it too much since we're already doing Tusker, Sanaa, and Jiko? I tried for Cal Grill that night, but no reservations at all...must be a private event or something unannounced for F&W festival.

I love trying all the places in the World, they have such a great variety, but considering you have been before..and will probably go again...I would stick with your original plan and keep it close to your resort with your little one. Long days in the sun and all the scenery and excitement make for very tired campers. Often times, my hubby and older boys would order dessert and I would go back the room with my daughter. Its great staying at a resort with many dining options. Take advantage until your little one is a bit older...then explore some more. As for your MIL, explain that Disney isnt all about AKL, but for now, its convenient with the baby. Ask if she would like for you to make reservations for her and maybe even your own parents elsewhere. Transportation at Disney is great too! She'll probably say no..but cant complain after!!!

You could try to get an ADR at Cape May over near the Boardwalk then spend the evening exploring the Boarwalk and all its entertainment.
