I need a computer geek please!!

My mom is going to throw her computer out the window.....

She is running XP. When she opens a new browser window, it automatically shuts the one she is using. It is only allowing her to have one browser window open at a time.

Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance!

Wow, mine was doing that a few weeks ago. We just had XP put on and it seemed to start for no reason. Then it stopped for no reason. I tried rebooting with no results but after it doing that closing of more than one window for a few days, it stopped and I could open multiple windows again.

Wish I could tell you why but I haven't got a clue.

ETA: The computer is currently down at the fix it shop. It seems that if you have a HP all in one printer, it will corrupt a dll file that you need. A special driver needs to be installed for it to work right. Who knew???

So the computer place had to reinstall XP and save all my files and pictures. I'm really mad this happened. Why would HP put something in their systems that wouldn't interact with XP correctly? Or maybe the problem is the other way around with MS being the culprit.
