I need a 3 bedroom 3 bath unit at beach club, as we all know, no grand villas exist.

does this make any sense?
1 2 bedroom unit
and 1 Studio

or do i run the risk, it is very inconvenient, if studio, on different floor than 2 bedroom unit.

has anyone ever done this? if so how did it work out??

I wish they had built them there as well. Of couse I knew this when I bought in, but I wish there was 3 bedroom units there. I would be getting one every time we went with my parents. Instead my parents get a 1 bedroom and our family of 4 get a 2 bedroom. We tried sharing a 2 bedroom, but I bought DVC so that I could have a seperate bedroom from kids and I don't like the kids sleeping in the Living Room, I want that space to be used as a Living Room, so it would be nice if my parents, my kids and my husband and I could each have our own bedrooms and still be able to share the common areas.

There are 2 bedrooms and studios next to each other. Of couse it is not gaurenteed but you can request it. It just won't be as convienant to have to go through the main hallway to get from the studio to the 2 bedroom.

We wnet to BWV with the whole family when the Grand Villas were being rehabbed. Ended up with a 2 bdr and 2 studios. Worked out great (also less points)

Depending on who is going, I would do either a 2 bedroom and a studio, or a 2 bedroom and a 1 bedroom.

MIKESMOM
did you get your studio, close to the 2 bedroom?
was it ackward??

We just did this in August and it worked out great.
I had a 2 bedroom and a studio. I just requested that the rooms be near each other.
The studio was directly across the hall from our 2 bedroom. I gave my BILs a key to the 2 bd so that they wouldn't have to knock all the time.
When we checked in I did ask to make sure we were near each other.
The only (very minor!) disappointment I had is that my BILs got the pool view I requested. We had a courtyard view in the 2 bedroom. Really not a big deal, and when I needed peace and quiet (time away from my parents !) I just walked across the hall to enjoy the BILs pool view!

thank you so much for your response, this discussion board is great
i would have been scared to do this, but with positive response from others. I now am encouraged to do this

We've done this at OKW with a 2 BR and two studios. They were all in the same building. You should make the reservations and request they be close together. You're odds of disappointment are very low if you do not have any other requests.

This past January we requested to be near our friends who had reserved for the same time period. We were right next door, just had to acess different stairs at OKW.

I though this was what linking was also for - you link the studio and 2-bedroom so the room controllers knows that they need to be together.

you also do this when you change resorts....or your unit size...

there was a time when the room controller assigned units

Health reasons
groups of rooms together
then all else
